Labor is anti labour, if they weren’t they would long ago have allowed the ordinary workers to claim their travelling expenses as a tax deduction, just as the self employed are. |

Ordinary workers can claim their travelling expenses. "You can claim a deduction for travel expenses (accommodation, meals and incidental expenses) if you travel and stay away from your home overnight in the course of performing your employment duties." https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/income-deductions-offsets-and-records/deductions-you-can-claim/cars-transport-and-travel |

I had that because I lived two hours away and commuted and was away from home - often for days at a time.
A GOOD accountant should know that. But I agree that commuting is not generally a tax deduction - companies get it, though... and fat cats.... Look at Gladys - gets a company car and driver to go to 'work' at Optus now - another sweet ride for an old mate in the club, eh? ... and the company writes that off its tax..... so - does she pay fringe benefit tax? Don't make me laugh... Only the PEASANTS pay to travel to work.... pay .. PAY mill owner government to work for pittance and be treated like serf! You dick-heads all need to wake up and grow up. Your idiocy bordering on insanity of pushing 'blame' on entire social groups - most of whom are no better off in reality than your pharken Abos etc - is as bad as the idea of 'equalising' the workplace by affirmative action to benefit entire groups! Meaning an oil sheik's daughter who comes here to live and takes half-citizenship will get affirmative action, preferential treatment in employment and promotion and all that, on the basis that she comes from a non-English speaking background and is a sheila and is slightly sallow ... as in WTF??? WTF is WRONG with you all? Get out of mummy's cellar.... breathe the real air of hard work for a day and get back to me, losers. EARN this!! |

My favourite example of Labor’s love of the working class is the closure of Cockatoo Island Dockyard.
A thriving business that the Navy wanted to continue but was terminated by then then Labor Government by the simple expedient of cancelling the lease on the Island. Over 3,000 put out of work and all because that fat grub Beasley needed votes in WA, to which State submarine repair was transferred. The other aim was to sell multi million house sites on Cockatoo [with commensurate backhanders] but that fell through because of Native Title; it was well documented that the island had been a meeting place for local tribes which fact was attested by the very large shell middens. |
