He's not short of a quid. Bought a lot of reloading gear since he retired. And new rifles.

This is the one im currently building - im about 9K in - it won’t have that scope thats sitting on it - 3.5K for the one that it’ll eventually have…

Im not overly fussed about the money  :(  - as i know i could get nearly the exact same amount if i decided to sell it on, because it is top quality gear which can be hard to get…

The reloading gear can be the same - top quality will cost a bit but well worth it…. And it holds its value

I know the bloke who ran second for silver here as well.

He along with Rodney was one of the first blokes I met when I came to Maryborough as a 17 yr old in 1973.

He only recently retired after selling his mechanics business & workshop'

You can usually throw a blanket over the top 5 guys at state level its that close…

Everything has to be perfect… and a breath of wind could drop you out of top 10 by dropping 1 shot…

Its great that they have a hobby in retirement - the guy i used to work with that ended up having a stroke after AstraZeneca had nothing planned after years of me (and his mates) warning him to make sue he has an interest in retirement…

I bumped into him a couple of months back and he said that he was bored shitless…

With full bore precision shooting you’ll have a full time job lol …

These guys will need to hire someone in to do the gardening so they have more time for shooting .. ;D
