Title: Oscar Piastri wins the Bahrain GP Post by Ozias on Apr 14th, 2025 at 9:02am
Oscar Piastri becomes the first driver this season to win multiple races and he is now just 3 points behind Lando Norris is WDC. I think he will end up with more points than Lando this season and my favorite to win the WDC this year.

Title: Re: Oscar Piastri wins the Bahrain GP Post by greggerypeccary on Apr 14th, 2025 at 9:49am Nice work [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Oscar Piastri has become the first multiple race winner of the 2025 season by taking a sublime victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix, the Australian driver putting in a cool and collected drive to seal P1 on his 50th start in F1 as well as marking McLaren’s first triumph in Sakhir. After making a strong start from pole position – despite a close call from George Russell when the Mercedes driver locked up into Turn 1 – Piastri built a solid lead throughout the laps that followed. While there was early trouble for team mate Lando Norris – who was hit with a five-second time penalty for being out of position in his grid box – the McLarens again looked impressive as the race played out, with the Briton working his way forwards. And while Piastri’s position potentially looked under threat when a Safety Car emerged, the 24-year-old made a clean getaway at the restart and went on to rebuild a gap in the laps that followed, eventually crossing the line with a 15-second lead. |

Mark Webber said he is making more money skimming 20% from Oscars pay as his manager than he did as a driver.
Getting him out of Alpine and into McLaren was a wise choice from Webber. Where would Oscar be if he was driving for Alpine? |

There is a lot you don't know Phil :) Oscar won in all the lower categories before F1 Webber has done a good job will also help him with all the politics that happen outside of the car. It's a long season he is in the best car only has to beat Lando it's probably the best chance for an Aussie since Alan Jones. |

If the gap is larger than 2/10s of a second you're not in the race. 2/10s in a 50 lap race will have you 10 seconds behind.

Lando seems to be always doing better than everyone else in the practice but I am hoping Oscar nails qualifying today and grabs pole.

Oz-Car 2nd on the grid Max on pole with Lando back in 10th after putting it into the wall.
Harder to overtake here whoever wins the drag race from start to first corner might win. There is only one fast line overtaking means trying to pass on a slower line which makes it much harder almost impossible if car in front with equal speed doesn't make a mistake Lando might not be able to pass enough cars to get on podium unless those in front have hard luck stories. ![]() |

Verstappens girlfriend Kelly Piquet is pregnant.
The child will have both Grandfathers Formula 1 racers with Nelson being 3x world champion. Max is 4x world champion. Grandmother Sophie (Verstappens mum) was really good Kart racer here she is winning in Formula A. I wonder if this kid will be a racer ;) ![]() |

Oscar 2nd on grid for sprint race Lando 3rd with Antonelli getting pole.
Kimi Antonelli 1m26.482s Oscar Piastri 1m26.527s Lando Norris 1m26.582s Max Verstappen 1m26.737s George Russell 1m26.791s Mercedes going well here if Kimi can put it on pole then George should be near it as well. Max struggling in slower corners quick in faster sections which shows aero working well lacking mechanical grip which should improve as track rubbers in. Nothing in it with Oscar and Lando https://www.crash.net/f1/results/1069031/1/2025-f1-miami-grand-prix-sprint-qualifying-results Jack Doohan not going well if he keeps going like this he will be replaced before mid year break. All the champion drivers have been very impressive in first races Jack isn't cutting it. |
Title: Re: Oscar Piastri wins the Bahrain GP Post by Baronvonrort on May 4th, 2025 at 7:19pm
Verstappen on Pole Lando on front row with Oscar on 2nd row.
Not much in top 5 it will come down to who has best race setup. The easy way to see which team has optimised setup comes down to how far tyres can go without degrading. When setup is right tyre wear is minimised car is fast and easier to drive. The winner of Miami GP will be the driver who has the least amount of hard luck stories |

Oscar wins Miami GP
Three GP wins in a row first Aussie to do that since Alan Jones. He gets a $1 million bonus for race wins Mark Webber gets a 20% cut as his manager |

Oscar fastest in 2 out of 3 practice sessions with Lando fastest in the last.
Oscar on Pole by 0.034 seconds from Verstappen with Lando 4th on the grid. McLaren showing superior tyre wear advantage if Oscar gets a good start he should win. Website with video of all practice sessions and race here it isn't live. https://watchf1full.com/ 31 years ago Ayrton Senna was killed at this track when his steering column broke. ![]() |

He should've won today as well but caught up with Max'x brilliance on the very first lap of the race but he is still leading the WDC by 13 points.

Max was able to pull away from Mclarens he set fastest lap. Red Bull worked well at Imola McLarens didn't have enough pace to win. Oscar drove FA Karts when he was younger. Fernando Alonso kart. ![]() |
