Known as Big George in the ring, the American built one of the most remarkable and enduring careers in the sport, winning Olympic gold in 1968 and claiming the world heavyweight title twice, 21 years apart - the second making him the oldest champion in history aged 45. He lost his first title to Muhammad Ali in their famous Rumble in the Jungle fight in 1974. But Foreman's professional boxing career boasted an astonishing total of 76 wins including 68 knockouts, almost double that of Ali. He retired from the sport in 1997 but not before he agreed to put his name to a best-selling grill - a decision that went on to bring him fortunes that dwarfed his boxing earnings. |

I know someone who bought one - about $100. It broke down after 6 months and had been used less than a dozen times - it was a load of cheap junk. |

Because I’m not all that interested or possibly not that smart I always assumed the George Foreman grill was associated with a actor?
In any case who name’s there five sons George 🤣 A boxer. Smart enough to be able remember all his sons names once the enviable brain damage took hold. I’m more a Webber bbq bloke but I have heard nothing but good things about his grill ! Winning the world heavyweight belt at age 45 is something pretenders like Anthonydumbdream could only dream of! |

Foreman didn't seem to have any brain damage from boxing. Just about every other boxer does appear to have brain damage. I could hardly understand Joe Frazier - Mike Tyson is not much better and of course Ali had what they called Parkinson's but we all know it was brain damage from boxing. The human brain is too delicate to cope with boxing. |

He might have been in preparation watching his peers brain slowly disappearing?
Why else call all your sons George? Boxing is both vile and art at the same time. It’s fascinating to watch for the very reason I couldn’t get in the ring and do it. I still say I have only heard rave reviews about his grill and I hope they continue to sell and his sons, George all collect the royalties check! |

After his financial advisor lost all of his money - the Grill filled his pockets with 💰… Instead of taking an upfront payment for the ads - he insisted on a commission instead… he made like 137 Million Dollars… smacking champ… And a true gentleman… |
