there were only a couple of kids playing up, which is not unusual at a pool anyway ... they kicked out ALL the aboriginal kids, plus an elder.

Knowing several of those involved I don’t see the police lying.
However others don’t lie either because to tell untruths to further the agenda is not lying.
Seems to be a cultural thing.

Cultural idea that they have no obligation to abide by laws and rules.  Pure racism.

As for denying I believe some of those asked to leave & playing the racist card were lying that kids had done nothing wrong, that all the Aboriginals present were asked to leave & that they weren't swearing or abusing staff.

No video available apart from one bloke who showed up after the cops were called - so has nothing first hand to offer.

There must be security footage of the offending.

The pool management has already said that only the kids who refused to behave were asked to leave... and the cops only told those responsible to leave.

It's pretty racist to not treat them according to the law - same as everyone else.  That's the racism of low expectations- same as someone getting a driving licence on the assumption that being a WOP they can't drive any better than they do - or such things as immigrants who cannot handle English being allowed in on the assumption they will learn, or that radicals from war-torn countries will assimilate here without hatred and bringing their ancient feuds.

The only flaw, BTW - in a Two State Solution for the Abos - is that they can't even get on with one another.... so that makes it a hard choice, this great idea of Michael Mansell's of a 'separate state'.

Let me get this right - according to smithy - the pool keepers are 'racist' because they've been accused of racism - and therefore their statements have no value?

That - Poppets - is why we must NEVER allow or accept 'guilty by accusation' - that has been the norm in reality in this poor fellow - my country - from PRE-settlement all the way up to all the Royal commissions into police, and even unto today in some places still not fully under control of police headquarters - in which the die-hards still hold out AND where they send the burn-out cases for 'the rest cure' - meaning they come with serious issues of madness and wreak havoc on the unsuspecting locals.

More than one country town's police were literally cleaned out in this century - and it requires endless supervision and oversight to ensure it doesn't re-occur.  Some have posted elsewhere that it still does - this 'guilt by accusation' and contempt to the 'defendant' for being accused - by both the courts and the police and then the community.

What remains to be done is to clean out the judiciary....

Now - how many accused were felt to be innocent in Pristine Aboriginal Australia?  About as many as appear before a court in Iran, I'd say. I guess the Serpent was as good at sorting out wrongs posthumously as Allah, ay?
