Title: Be afraid Canberrans.
Post by Aussie on Jan 11th, 2025 at 11:19am
Ima in town for around six weeks on business.  Just had a quick lesson on how to drive a bloody Tesla.  Bloody thing!

Lightning in acceleration.  Scary in fact.  Take your foot off the accelerator and it slows as quickly as an electric golf cart.  Yells and bitches at me if I do something 'wrong.'  Prick of a thing!  Cruise control is nuts!  I now have to work out how to get my phone to work in the bastard!

It's not value for money.  It is a go kart, golf cart.

Tesla tamed.  It's a very clever thing but a golf cart.  Suspension very stiff.  In breaking news....................

With Autumn descending on Canberra, my brother's lemon tree is full of them, one was yellow today.

He and his wife are in Qld visiting some people so, we plucked it and had it with some fish I am world famous for cooking so well.

:)

Lemon was fantastic, really, really great.....straight, fresh off the tree.

Can't do that in our part of Qld.

Which Confederate general ate lemons “for dyspepsia?”

Aussie crawls out from under his Wordle rock and the only person to greet him is the guy who stole $60 off him and now hopes for more.  ;D

Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. Died of friendly fire in the Battle of Chancellorsville. Reckoned a Confederate victory, it cost the Confederates casualties they could not afford.

Not Stonewall:

Choristor:
1. a member of a choir, especially a choirboy or choirgirl.
2.US a person who leads the singing of a church choir or congregation.

Aussie,
you forget -
I was your most reliable and trusted deputy when you were the EL at the real Polanimal.

You had to boot Monk's arse out of there.

When I found anomalies I never went behind your back -
I told FD and copied both you and BO in on the PM.
I was straight with you - I was honest.

G'day Aussie.

I have not driven a Tesla. Is it fun? I don't want to own one but would consider hiring one on a trip just to have some fun in it.

Does it take much time to learn what is needed and with no experience can you just jumped in one and drove off like a hire car IYO?

Cheers.

Some of it was quite complicated - certainly not something that a dishwasher could do.

Don't be calling no effing dishwasher.

Yes, it is fun in the sense that the IT stuff is very good.  The acceleration is wild, but, as I said, suspension stiff, and steering is like a golf cart.

Worth the experience.

Not overly hard to drive, and to do the basics, yes...pretty much jump in and go, no drama, but you will get all sorts of bells and whistles nagging you if you don't know what they mean.  But, you can still stop start, and drive etc.  There are no gears of course, no engine, zero noise.  Just drive like an electric golf cart.  But, to get familiar with all the clever stuff, takes a bit of time.

It is idiot proof.

Nifty.

You can relax now Redmond Neck, we have returned to the Sunshine Coast, having concluded the need to be there, just before Winter arrives and at the first burst of beautiful Autumn.

Suffered the ignomy, wearing all the Bronco regalia (and I was not Robinson Crusoe by a very long shot) of being at GIO Stadium to watch the Raiders beat Broncos, but.......I made my stand and sat stubbornly on my arse while the wankers stood and did their Viking clap thing.  Meh.

We drove past your suburb many times, (yes you posted that information at least twice either here or at the sewer) and every time, I said to myself..."What I wimp he is....coyly timid to have a coffee with Big Bad Aussie and TIB."

:)

I would advise Redmond Neck and many others here to stay clear of you (& Monk) Aussie. You're histories on this Forum prove why.
