The orange colour is stage makeup to look correct on TV.

Cameras have trouble recreating perfect skin tones.

Carotenemia is a condition in which yellow- or orange-colored skin develops due to high levels of beta-carotene in the blood. It is often caused by eating excessive amounts of foods or supplements high in the nutrient carotene. It can be resolved by reducing carotene intake and should not result in complications.

Foods high in carotene include red, yellow, orange, and dark leafy green fruits and vegetables. These include carrots, sweet potatoes, papaya, cantaloupe, winter squash, broccoli, spinach, kale, red and yellow bell peppers, and tomatoes.

Oh well, can't be that - the rapist doesn't eat fruits and vegetables.

Infants and toddlers eating large amounts of orange and green pureed vegetables may develop carotenemia. This might, at first, be confused with jaundice.

Maybe Melania is feeding him pureed vegetables, and telling him it's something else.

Does Donald Trump drink multiple glasses of juiced carrots everyday ?

If he did, would that cause an orange discoloration in his skin ?

[I don't think drinking lots of carrot juice would cause any harm ??   Is it toxic in consuming a large amount ? ]

It's fake tan. Obviously. Orange is a well known consequence of fake tan.

Desperately he clings  ....

Why is this a question? It's not like we don't already know the answer.

Vanity.

It's fake everything for him.

From appearance, weight, excuse to dodge the draft, gold handicap (due to cheating), business acumen, wealth, family.

All fake.

If he weren't such a vile excuse for a person, I'd almost feel sorry for him.  That level of fake will only attract fakes.

It must be lonely for him, knowing that he buried the only genuine connection he had.

May be Trump eats a lot of wild-caught Alaskan salmon whose diet rich in shrimp, krill, and other species that contain high levels of astaxanthin.

And he won the popular vote.

Go figure.

A win is a win.

This outcome underscores just how successfully people have been convinced that the country is in dire straits, and that Democrats are solely to blame. Many believe that only Trump can restore order, accepting his flaws, from his disingenuous posturing to the overt threats to women's autonomy under the MAGA movement which many women are always facing backlash over, as a price worth paying.

It will be crucial to document not only the state of the nation at the time of Trump's inauguration but also the trajectory leading up to it. This record will show precisely what voters signed on for when Trump starts pushing his agenda.

One hopes that Trump might actually fulfil the promises he claims to champion this time, instead of coasting on the economic upswing he inherited in his first term before COVID struck. But perhaps the nation will need to feel the real, unvarnished effects of his policies to recognise their implications, assuming, of course, his agenda isn't simply Project 2025.

The richest will likely profit further, as those in need, the very ones who secured this victory for him, will shoulder the burden. A fitting “thank you” awaits them.

If Trump's performative bravado and caricatured image don’t matter now, it suggests that his voters may be incapable—or unwilling—to see the real Trump at all.

I don't think so. You look at his hands - they aren't orange. I think it's bad make up or he uses a tanning machine on just his face somehow. Regardless, he looks ridiculous, like an moronic Oompa Loompa.

Many years ago, the company Faulding released a tanning tablet based on beta-carotene.  I had a mate who was an ABC radio reporter and he covered the release.  He was give a half dozen packets of tablets.  He was a red head. He took most of the tablets at once.  He turned bright orange for a week.  It was hilarouse to watch him go from pale to bright orange and back again.  Faulding took the tablets off the market soon after.   ;D ;D
