Title: Sell star casino shares
Post by Daves2017 on Sep 26th, 2024 at 11:43pm
They return to the stock exchange tomorrow.

Get out before they are suspended again.

Unbelievable they are paying out millions in performance bonuses to management that just lost a billion!

It appears the labor government is willing to just keep throwing taxpayer dollars at more inquiries in the hope eventually they will found to be fit to own a license.

Might take several more goes

Any other license venue be shut down after the first one found them unfit for a gambling license but not the Star.

I wonder why the government protects them so completely? ( $$$$ in brown bags)

I agree ... it's not govts job to be bailing these millionaire/billionaires out.

Let them go down the gurgler if they're that incompetent at running a business.

I had some at one time but think they are all gone now. Even without their legal problems they always went not so good in the industry itself. They were routinely getting wiped out by Asian high rollers.

Buy Qantas shares!

The Australian government is talking about getting Australians out of Lebanon and just like last time .

Rather than putting the work out to tenders and even shopping around overseas owned Qantas can just name a price and Albo will write the check?

The Asian high rollers are actually there to launder money -
casino winnings are not taxable but they just play a bit with dirty money
and then cash the chips in for a cheque that they can deposit in a genuine bank account tax free.
If they win a few $million on top then all the better for them.

Na not in the case I am talking about, I had some inside knowledge at the time on what happened. Just money laundering by the Asians may happen but it does not destroy the casino's bottom line. Money laundering tends to make losses in the process for the criminal side. Their gain is that the money ends up looking clean, not more.

The house has an edge but in for instance single zero Roulette it's less than 3% per spin.

odds are 36/37 =  97.3 %

The fact is that anything could happen over say 50 or 100 spins.
Sometimes the big players make $millions.

That's why they have double zero tables for the mug punters to make it harder to win.
The high rollers get a single zero table or they wouldn't turn up
as single zero tables are available in Europe.

In this case it wasn't roulette and supposedly the visitors made millions on every visit.

The other game is Banker and Player.
I'm not sure of the odds on that game.
Is it better than Roulette?

The latest rules on Blackjack are terrible from what I hear online.
I haven't been to a casino for well over 20 years so I'm out of touch.

The Poker machines pay out only 87% per spin -
that's like a Roulette wheel with 5 zeros - shocking odds -
that's why people lose houses on them.

I find it  hypercritical the same governments that allow these corrupt casinos ( Crown is no different) to still trade despite every investigation into their trade finds them unfit to operate , use our tax $$ too fund anti gambling advertising!

It’s quite the double standard is it not?

Yet both labor and Lnp are guilty of it!

The Govt. should just close them all down but
they are a source of too many jobs and too much tax.
They also give tourists a destination to fleece them of all their money.

I did advise buy Qantas shares!

When ever Australians may need to be brought home in a crisis the labor government will always ring overseas own airline owners and agree to pay double what anyone else might charge!

Why aren’t these multi million dollar deals put out to tender?

Why does Albo immediately engage overseas owned Qantas every single time ?

Is it because they privatised it and sold Qantas off to overseas owners and get a brown paper bag of $$$ as kickbacks for each charter flight they book?

Be transparent Albo, why do you choose overseas owned Qantas every single time?
