Title: Popcorn!
Post by Sophia on Aug 6th, 2024 at 5:38pm
My new gizmo!  :) I bought a stove top pop corn maker!
It works a treat!
I melted butter with honey to drizzle over made popcorn and was delish!
I’m not a fan of microwave popcorn… supposed to not be good for you or something.

I don't mind the odd 95c pack of popcorn that's just 2mins in the microwave zapper.

It looks very effective and probably can be used for roasting coffee beans and cashew nuts.

About 30 years ago I was eating some popcorn and I broke a filling in a tooth.
It looked like a whole corner of a tooth broke off.
There are sometimes hard pieces inside the popcorn.
It cost me 100s of dollars to fix it.
That was the last time I ate popcorn.    :-[

If you are brushing your teeth twice a day then there is another cause, like losing calcium, for your tooth to break on a bit of popcorn.

I was speaking to a yank on the old BrewRatChat who did just that: adapted a popcorn popper, bought green coffee beans and roasted them in the former popcorn popper.

Bit too much work for me!

Can't you understand what you read?

Most of the popcorn is soft but sometimes it doesn't pop -
and a tiny piece is left inside that is baked into a hard rock -
that can break a tooth.   ::)

I'm wondering how this is better than my Scanpan saucepan that I've been making popcorn in for 20 years!!

Amazon is showing my it's $75!!

That tooth would have had to be weak. But don’t have it checked out, can’t wait to hear the story of the second tooth to break! So don’t have it checked out!

Would we have to swim then twist and attack the food?

The shark never runs out of teeth, new ones are growing all the time.
