Title: UK forsakes democracy. 34% of the vote 65% seats Post by Laugh till you cry on Jul 11th, 2024 at 1:15pm
How is that democracy when a party with 34% of the vote wins 65% of the seats?
It doesn't look decent. Most of those 65% of Labor seats were won with a handful of votes which means the next election could be a landslide the other way. Allegations are emerging that Starmer has an association with UK and US security services and that his emergence was a coup against Jeremy Corbyn followed by a coup against democracy. Starmer was closely associated with the UK judicial actions against Julian Assaange. |

That's not all that far off Australia's results. It's a consequence of having single member electorates. Plus, they use first past the post voting there, so you do not need 50% support to win. Just more votes than each of the other candidates. |

It is not democracy when 65% of the electorate voted against the party that wins power. It is definitely not any sort of mandate. |

Would the French system be better? The highest 2 parties return for a second vote. |

It is arguable that the Jews won the UK election with 0.5% of the UK population producing a landslide supported by UK and USA security services.

There still needs to be a winner, even if everyone wants something different. |

Rumours suggest that maybe democracy could be linked with banks and allegations of money, security and the press. These hints are possibly started by people, bots and something. |

The conservative party only won 36.9% of the popular vote and won 330 out of the 650 seats in 2015.
It's the same thing. Curious how some people only complain when it's the other side who benefits from those circumstances. |
