While some electric car drivers want to switch back, 38% of internal combustion car drivers surveyed said they are considering buying a battery-powered or plug-in hybrid electric car as their next vehicle. Among drivers who plan on sticking with gas-powered cars, 45% said that electric cars were too expensive, 33% cited charging concerns and 29% cited concerns about the range an electric car would have before needing to be recharged. The economic situation in the U.S. is also changing consumer behavior when it comes to electric cars. Among U.S. respondents, 44% said they were very likely to postpone buying an electric car, and 58% said they were very likely to keep holding on to their current car no matter the type. Electric cars are good for those who like to waste money

I need another car -

I'm not gunna buy an EV.

We're a 2 car family (3 if you include business vehicles).

I imagine our next car will be an EV, but I think at most the 2nd will still be a hybrid.

I don't think we could go both EV, not yet.

In a dream world, NASA invents some cool tech as part of their Mars mission that will, in a relatively self-contained unit, figure out how to use the sun to power a device to extract hydrogen from the frozen water there and that technology trickles down to us, so we can convert our own collected rainwater to hydrogen to fuel our cars, houses, whatever we need.

But until then, we'll try however possible to reduce our reliance on oil.

Every little bit helps, from reducing plastic usage to even swapping the mower and other garden tools to battery.
