Title: Qantas employees are thieves Post by Bobby. on May 8th, 2024 at 8:21am
They stole money from 87,000 customers.
It's theft - plain and simple. Why aren't 100 or more Qantas employees in jail - including that Irish gnome? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-05-06/qantas-and-accc-reach-deal-on-cancelled-flights/103808054 Qantas and ACCC reach $120 million settlement on airline selling cancelled flights By business editor Michael Janda and business reporter Nassim Khadem Posted Mon 6 May 2024 In short: Qantas will pay a $100 million penalty for misleading customers by selling tickets to flights that had already been cancelled. Affected Qantas domestic customers will receive a payment of $225 and international ticketholders $450 as compensation, on top of any remedies these customers have already received. What's next? The Federal Court needs to approve the deal, and payments are not expected to be made until next financial year, after June 30. Qantas has reached an agreement with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to settle a lawsuit against the airline for selling seats on flights that had already been cancelled. Under the settlement, Qantas will institute a remediation program for affected passengers, with payments ranging from $225 for affected domestic customers to $450 for international customers, which are expected to total about $20 million. "It's expected to be around 87,000 consumers, who were the ones who were sold tickets on flights that Qantas had already decided to cancel," ACCC chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb told ABC News. The ACCC said these payments are additional to any remedies already offered by Qantas, such as alternative flights or refunds. Subject to the approval of the Federal Court of Australia, Qantas will also pay a $100 million civil penalty to the federal government for breaching the Australian Consumer Law. |

Can a bank robber pay a large fine and not be jailed for theft?

Contracted employees drawn from the Ali Baba Belt where this is nothing more than tax collecting by the roadside with a gun in hand... just collecting your dues ... why would they imagine things are different here?
Things are very different in the desperate third world...... but don't you worry about that... AlboDuttCorp are ensuring we will be down there in the mud soon enough... and we can then all compete on a level playing field, no? Maybe you can buy some dates and goat meat with ten Faroffistani drachmae, maybe trade a camel or a daughter or something - here you need at least half your pay just to put a tent over your head... and you aren't allowed to trade camels...... daughters depend on your 'culture' - or lack thereof. Things are tough in the Shadowlands between Third World and First World... Takes some too long to assimilate - I mean look at some of our (ab) users here... |

Awrrrrr... and all this time I thought you were a contractor and understood what that entailed. QANTAS doesn't have any U in it - not now anyway... it's all about them and nobody else... courtesy of the Irish Poof. "Providing a safe, friendly, accommodating and secure service? Get back in line you falcon ignorant passenger .... WTF do you think we are?" ADDS:- the Irish Poof's chickens are coming home to roost.... and they sound like 747s landing on your hen house.... Where is Mossad's special group when you need them? Wasting their time on Hamas leadership.... |

Any employee at Qantas who knew that customers were being swindled and did not report it to the police is guilty of conspiracy to defraud customers. Why aren't the cops charging them? The cops would go after you till the ends of the Earth for a parking fine but not after thieves in a position of trust. It was a massive theft. |

They can look for evidence. Do you mean to say that no one at Qantas knew about the swindle? I bet they were flooded with complaints and kept stealing money from more and more people. |

But WhiteKnight will say that the Qantas Employees need a Unionised Pay Rise for their thieving ways.
I remember years ago seeing footage of (non-white) employees going through luggage, let alone throwing luggage around like basketballs. |

Qantas can go to hell. It's no longer 'australian' in any sense anymore. It's just another 'foreign' entity employing darkies to finger through your luggage and throw them around. |

How can I ? - I'm not a cop. The Federal police need to go into Qantas with force and turn the place upside down. The evidence will be there in emails and messages from distraught customers. The employees knew and did nothing about it. They were willing participants in a massive $100 million fraud that went on for months right under their noses. Charges: conspiracy to commit fraud. Massive theft. |

And yet you've labelled quantas staff as theives. With zero evidence? By the way, when was the last time you bought your airline tickets from quantas staff? |
