Grandkids are just the greatest thing, aren’t they Sprint!   I was away for so many years during our Children’s progress and I missed a lot of  them growing up and just being with them.   I have 6 girls and 1 boy as Grandies now - ranging in age from 5 to 11 and my youngest Son has just informed us that another is on the way.   I am finally realising my loss at missing my Children growing up, but making up for that through my Grand Kids

It is indeed a special role in life to be a Grandparent.  Congratulations to you

I love seeing men gooey over their grandkids.

Society was structured so that you older men were kept at arms length from your own kids ... so many blessings on you making it up now.

And yay for an evolving society.

I was one of the lucky ones. I was working from home up until my youngest was in third class so I never missed anything in their early years. I'm so glad I can say that.
Having said that my current business I'm away 10 to 12 hrs a day so making up for lost time in the absence department. The good thing is that the kids have the run of the place so they spend a lot of time at my place of work anyway. Gotta take advantage of the free labour while I can. :D
