Was at the Good Guys in the local big smoke looking at fridge+freezers.

Realised they took way too much room so decided the fridge I had was fine and I just needed an upright freezer.

There is a CHIQ CSH311NWL3 Vertical hybrid freezer. This could go in the side passage that opens into the kitchen. So not far away. Present chest freezer would go into the cidery and be used to store apples etc.

Not a lot of room for a decent kitchen even after major renovations.

Anyone know if the CHIQ brand is any good? It does have a 5 year warranty.

I was in a room.
It wasn't just any ordinary room.
It was a special room, because I was in it.
What was I doing in that room?
I was identifying as a cat.
There was a person outside who said I am a human and can not identify as a Cat.
He said 'therefore you cease to exist as a cat in that room'.
Did I really exist as a cat in that room, of failed to exist??

I just thought I should share this with you as I'm sure you've all being dying to hear from me and my life's borings and dulls in life.  ;)

So much is made by the Chinese and most of it is of inferior quality.

Damn it. OK will go back to Good Guys and look at other vertical freezers.

My chest freezer is old so less energy efficient than a current freezer.

Any recommendations?

5 year warranty because they just give you a new one when the your new one shytes itself.

I have 3 LG TVs in the house.... one is at least 15 years old & still going.

I have an LG front load washing machine that is 10 years old.

Won't have another Westinghouse appliance in my house.

2 x pigeon pair fridge & freezers shyte themselves in a few years.

2x westinghouse dishwashers malfunctioned the same way - flooding out the kitchen & lounge room.

We bought a Westinghouse upright freezer about 11 years ago. It lives in the laundry is still going perfectly after 11 years. It is only a 2 star rating however. Performance wise ... very good. I loved the frost-free aspect as our older freezer had to be manually defrosted from time to time.  :(
