poor JM. Just can't help himself.

The paper actually talks about trees above the tree line in 1977. And they have tree stumps still there above the tree line. Such a hopeless dick. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Monk is an imbecile.
One only has to look at the variance of Topics in his Board to know that he is a scatter-brained nobody that stalks somebodies like Dubyne and others like some psychotic freak. |

"The palynological records of arctic tree-lines in North America give clear evidence of large scale northward displacement of the forest limit during the early Holocene. "
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0034666793900402 As the terrain grew more hilly, Hakongak’s hopes of spotting caribou rose—the animals were known to run through the area they call Amagalik. Then, as the hunters’ path dipped into marshy lowlands, Hakongak spied what he first thought was a cylindrical rock sticking out of the bog. “I did a quick U-turn and said ‘This is a tree stump!’” the 56-year-old recalls. “My first thought was ‘Wow, this is quite the strange find.’ ' Located on Victoria Island, Cambridge Bay is roughly 600 km above the treeline, the latitudes above which the climate is too cold for trees to survive. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0034666793900402 By Lindsay Jones October 29, 2019 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Monk Troll has shut up shop (as usual) on this one.

Poor JM still can't help himself. Even a 2019 paper shows that the temperature is still less than the MWP. It doesn't matter if the treeline is moving north. It still hasn't got where the treeline for the MWP was.
Lamb's reconstruction that figured in FAR (First Assessment Report) from the IPCC. (chapter 7, Figure 7.1.c) Of course then we had JM's very Mannian mentor. But his has gone by the wayside. The MWP was arguably warmer than today. Despite his protestations. ;) |

Humans and even our Ape/monkey ancestors have come into existence during a 'cold period'. The majority of this planet's history has been much much warmer as an overall average through the millions of years.

You would think 50 years of AGW would have done it. I mean his comment was "warmed way past the MWP". |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medieval_Warm_Period
Medieval Warm Period - MWP The Medieval Warm Period (MWP), also known as the Medieval Climate Optimum or the Medieval Climatic Anomaly, was a time of warm climate in the North Atlantic region that lasted from c. 950 to c. 1250.[2] Climate proxy records show peak warmth occurred at different times for different regions, which indicate that the MWP was not a globally uniform event.[3] Some refer to the MWP as the Medieval Climatic Anomaly to emphasize that climatic effects other than temperature were also important.[4][5] The MWP was followed by a regionally cooler period in the North Atlantic and elsewhere, which is sometimes called the Little Ice Age (LIA). Possible causes of the MWP include increased solar activity, decreased volcanic activity, and changes in ocean circulation.[6] Modelling evidence has shown that natural variability is insufficient on its own to explain the MWP and that an external forcing had to be one of the causes. |

Poor JM. Has a go at me for a 2019 paper and unearths one from 2013. ;D ;D ;D ;D
And then Milankovitch cycles. According to JM if it isn't Milankovitch cycles it is nothing. And Marcott 2013? He was the one who said that the recent warming showing on his graph was not "statistically robust" "Thus, the 20th century portion of our paleotemperature stack is not statistically robust, cannot be considered representative of global temperature changes, and therefore is not the basis of any of our conclusions." Isn't it amazing that those people who quote Arrhenius use his flawed 1896 paper rather than his 1906 paper where he substantially revised his estimates. ;)

And it is not necessarily any or all AGW. ::) Just think UK Met nearly 8 out of 10 stations in the junk class (Class 4 and Class 5). Australia's ACORN SAT has also been found to be out of whack and can't be relied on. The same applies to the US ClimDiv Station data. USCRN stations are sited away from UHI and other incompatible sources. NOAA uses ClimDiv. Who knew? ::) |
