I'll have a stab in the dark here: First off; nothing makes the abuse alright. Having said that I'll take a wild guess that the bright lights shining through peoples windows and bouncing balls and loud kids at night when people are settled in for the evening has become an issue for a secretly pissed off bunch of neighbours. A genuine community member, thoughtful of others would limit it to at least the weekend, but not Eddie Betts. No one dares confront him about it cause he'll claim racism. It brews and one idiot has really had enough.

as a grandfather of 3 aboriginal children, one of whom is so switched on i am grooming him to be a future PM, heres what i would say for eddie to tell his kids,
and i personally like eddie betts he should tell his kids the story of the man and the butterfly. a man sees a cocoon and a butterfly struggling to emerge the butterfly is strugglling and struggling and just cant get free of the cocoon. the man is filled with compasion.(maybe he is an abc journalist) he cant stand it anymore he gets a pair of scissors and cuts the cocoon open carefully the buttergly comes out but it has a bloated body and small wings all it can do is walk around on the ground the man did not realise that the prolonged struggle was neccessary to pump the fluid from the body into the wings to enable flight by aiding the butterfly and trying to make its life easier, he has doomed it to never flying thats what i would tell eddies kids and what i will tell my grandkids when things are tough, keep going and you will fly ask for help, give up, play the victim , ask someone stronger to remove and obstacle and you are doomed to never fly |

Strict NO TAKE ZONES allow the fish species to 'breed in respite' and the 'spillover' begins to exhibit more species and bigger sizes.
The more NO TAKE ZONES in the right spots especially and the more Fish you will get. It's a simple equation. Each NO TAKE ZONE is like a farm production of fish so to speak - the SPILLOVER being the places of harvest. It's well known, that a place hit hard by fishing and especially spear-fishing - the fish eventually 'leave' that area. They're not stupid. So if NO TAKE ZONES are not permanently incorporated, then ROTATIONAL ZONES need to be put into place at least. When NZ put in NO TAKE ZONES around the Poor Knight's Islands and Goat Island. The Fishing Industry both Commercial and Recreational put in their usual bully whinges, etc. But after just '6' years - they were getting BIGGER sized fish and more of them outside the Zones as SPILLOVER and then harking on about how great the Zones were!! Australia needs to wake up to its silly self and make a lot of NO TAKE ZONES all along the Coastal scenes. Over major Bommie areas, small island areas like the Five Islands outside of Wollongong and any other environment that isn't just 'sand' or barren rock shelving. All sealife needs a motel or home to breed in stress-free and if you look at the islands of Raratonga - almost a complete NO TAKE ZONE, life will 'go there' and life will proliferate there until it maxes out and the spillover begins. So far, humanity only knows how to HARVEST the seas and oceans. It tries to farm with Aquaculture pens - but the quality of this is very very poor. It needs to learn how to implement NO TAKE ZONES as the real natural-FARMS to gain the superior success rates that they would offer... and they're far cheaper too. ;) |

When the children continued to make noise while playing, acting Sen. Sgt Foster said Polain went outside and pulled the basketball hoop down with an axe before using it to smash the backboard. He was later arrested and taken to Mandurah police station, where Polain defended his actions by saying: “I told them to stop, they don’t have any idea of the noise they’re making. They had been screaming and shouting for five hours.” Polain represented himself in court and said the basketball hoop the children were playing with was set up by a neighbour just 10m from his bedroom and lounge room windows but 30m away from the living areas of the neighbour’s own home. He read a statement in court saying there had been a “prolonged situation” with children playing with the basketball hoop, which he described as “huge and immovable”. Polain said he had approached the City of Mandurah several times for assistance with removing the basketball hoop before the incident. He said his neighbour’s son and friend continued using the hoop after he damaged it and it was eventually disposed of in a hard rubbish verge pick-up. Polain said he was sorry for his actions and “had no idea it was a criminal offence”. I know some people are very sensitive to noise and it can create stress for them - I'm one due to heart medications that actually have cleared my lungs of 'asthma' and also have cleaned my eustachian passages out, so that on the one hand my hearing is still 'blurred' and yet is extremely sensitive. I don't, however, react to 'normal' noise much like kids playing or dogs barking like some do. That kind of reaction is in a different sphere - a more psychological one... the ex has it - the dog next door barks - I say "Good boy - doing your job!" ... she says - "I hate the neighbours and this neighborhood, dogs barking all the time - I want to move!". She is rapidly becoming that 'feisty old woman' you see so much of with the sour looks etc.... the ones who end up in nursing homes with blurred edges in their 'thinking' and a poor outlook ... It's sort of a traditional old woman's role for some ... sure keeps the men away to chase young Asian chicks.... phew ... God must exist.... we prefer our women agile, mobile, and non-hostile as we age.... had enough is the reality ... the cult of (White) male punishment for everything is long overdue for the scrap heap ...
