I watched "Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan" twice in one week. I could only watch "The Odd Angry Shot" once. I will give the movie another viewing this week sometime, just to make sure that I did not get the wrong first impression. But, that impression was one of a movie not respecting the seriousness of the actual war.

Mythbusters once did a segment on shooting Grenades out of mid-air.  Very interesting and typically over the top.  I was taught Grenades are only useful thrown into/out of positions and dangerous to all and sundry.  I've instructed on a Grenade Assault Course.  Saved a digger's life 'cause he dropped the Grenade when he pulled the pin.  I threw him into a trench and dived in after him.  Not nice at all.

It's good you managed to "three him". Imagine if you dived in after 5. It would all be over for both of you.

Emus victorious? The army shot dead over over 900 emus. The problem was the physiology of the emus made it difficult to shoot the emus in the body, because of all the feathers preventing bullets penetrating them. Having 10,000 rounds of ammunition at your disposal is one thing. But, trying to shoot dead fast moving animals that are shielded by their own feathers, killing 900+ emus is quite the achievement.

4 Corners - Sacrifice.  An interesting expose of the antics occurring at the Australian War Memorial.  Unfortunately a bit of a mash up of different issues, covering the redevelopment of the War Memorial, how it is funded, its association with Benjamin "Ben" Roberts-Smith and its ongoing failure to recognise the Frontier Wars.  I made a submission about the redevelopment of the AWM. I was against it.  I felt it was to be turned into a circus, rather than a means of remembering war.  I am also in favour of the AWM recognising the Frontier Wars.  It is a sorry episode and until we officially recognise it,  it will never heal.  The AWM needs to keep arms manufacturers at a distance.  Their funding is tainted. It also needs to recognise that Ben Roberts-Smith has been  engaged in war crimes.  His uniform and medals should be on display but they need a clear explanation of what he did.  Overall a mixed bag of a program.  Worth watching in parts.
