You can go vegetarian but should consume milk and eggs—cows milk not nut or oat etc “milk.”


Also—a lot of the rangelands are not suitable for agriculture. Too hilly/too dry/too wet/poor soils etc


As I am getting a bit older I eat a bit less meat—steak once a week, more vegetarian meals especially leafy greens against dementia. Shreds of bacon, pancetta or prosciutto makes that a bit easier  :)

Cows burp methane, that is true. Also methane in their droppings. I believe that is fixable, some enzymes must break it down. Anyway, with no beef cattle the methane problem is reduced.

Sprint cites a figure of 20% of calories coming from livestock. That may be true but livestock provides a lot of our high quality protein especially with the overfishing of the oceans.
