Furthermore, an Israeli observed Hamas rehearsing its battle plan and advised IDF generals but was ignored.

The IDF then depleted its Gaza border defense resources by sending much of that force to murder Palestinians in the West Bank.

Will there be a reckoning or a cover-up of the incompetence of the whole military and political establishment?

The Israeli Govt. probably gets info about 100s of possible attacks every year.

They didn't believe Hamas would do it - just like 9/11.

Israel would be more worried about Pakistan giving Turkey or Iran some nuke missiles -
now that is the largest threat right now.
Are satellites looking for large missile trucks crossing borders?
Does Israel have spies in: Pakistan, Iran and Turkey?
