Dr Griffin says there's also a risk that if we continue boosting our immunity to the original strain, we could actually hamper our immune response to new vaccine components targeting subvariants.

That's because "immunological memory" (which protects us from a pathogen long after vaccination) can interfere with the development of updated immune responses.

Pfizer and Moderna earlier this year said they expect to price their shots between $110 and $130 per dose, a nearly fivefold increase over current prices for existing vaccines.
  thats US dollars
That estimate has drawn criticism from lawmakers, who note the two companies and their executives have made significant profits from the shots during the Covid-19 pandemic.

great news for pfizer moderna and the "worried well"

About time.

However...

Two new Covid vaccines approved as alarming figure reveals majority of Aussies choosing not to get a booster shot

I do believe this reply in a X/Twitter (Nitter) thread says it all.

Imagine thinking that ignoring COVID, saying it's not exceptional, the pandemic is over, we're post COVID, it's just a cold, would lead to that.

Yep, won't get any argument from me about that.

Oh, dear.

Millions of Aussies ruled ineligible for improved COVID vaccines

Quote:
"The Federal Government has secured about 3 million doses of the XBB.1.5 vaccines. That is 1.2 million fewer than the number of Australians aged 65 and over."

Click on the images to read the article because the source link to The West Australian is paywalled as usual.

If you get a "Page not found" error message just keep trying until they eventually show.

The incompetence of this government is astonishing... mind you, what I said in my previous post no doubt has a lot to do with it (apart from them not wanting to spend too much money).

Why waste money on millions of extra doses that will probably be thrown out if no one wants them because everyone believes the pandemic is over, Covid is mild, etc., etc.

I ain't gettin it.

My last vax was July 2022 for the flu - the flu vax
and I was crook for 2 weeks after it.
I've never been sick from the flu vax before.
I reckon the Covid AZ shots I had have lowered my immune system but I can't prove it.
I never had a flu vax this year due to last year.

Billions of Jab Junkies will have their 'natural' immune system compromised by a dependency on fabricated Pharma boosters.

As for those with a good 'natural' immune system.
Well they're gonna get 'boosted' to overload for their system.
Too much of a good thing can be bad for you.
Heart problems anyone?

Big Pharma cashing in again.
