Leave your shyness at the door.

When younger, I had no issues finding willing women to be "friends" with.
Several literally threw themselves at me.
But naive as I was, I didn't think of myself as sexy.

Once I met my wife to be, I had no interest in other women.
But the attentions of women became more insistent when told that I wasn't interested.

Now, as a chubby, old, bald 65 year old, I'm beyond sexy.
But every now and then, some old lady has a go at chatting me up.

But am I sexy?
I don't think so.

I think you are still sexy Valkie- cos you have an interest in sex/still-illustrated by the way you speak of those days in your youth- you still see your wife as the beautiful woman she once was- so you still carry it around with you- its so great that you have that and for that reason you will never be lonely.

I've been mistaken for a professor of medicine, or most other things, even for a cop.... it's just the way I carry myself with the certain knwoledge that I've done things that no other can... not least of all your kind...

But I AM interesting..... you just need to know how to read life...... draw associations.... reach conclusions based on the FULL evidence and not just empty phrases trotted out by a mendacious media ....something sadly lacking in many here....

Am I sexy?

Well my husband still thinks I am. I have no idea why. I don’t particularly care about such things. My focus is on being a practical and worthy partner and soul mate by watching over everything as we’re both orphans now and that means we have to look out for each other. It’s funny how life changes you as you navigate its brutal reality which largely consists of grief and loss. You start to realise that all that matters is the health and safety of those around you and that entails the environment they live in.

Having said all that I still think my husband is very sexy. Unlike me...the bastard is super intelligent and a nerd and a geek so of course I’m smitten for life. He knows I’m a sapiosexual at heart.

Yes, at 65 our sex life isn't as "energetic" as it used to be.
But we still enjoy each other regularly.

I too am an orphan with some sort of 'family ties' - not that you'd want to know them and not that any other branch of the extended family does, either.

Funny how that works out in real life...I guess like me you'd take in every stray dog if you could or every orphan... or have a secret dream of one day owning a large bushland property with some cleared for a nature reserve and horse and animal rescue.... and wonder WTF could be the reason for the local NPWS and council to cull the wild deer.. or down the Snowies the Brumbies (not the football team).. the wild horses around Coffs...  ... they don't do much or eat that much.... got wild horses here too .... and drivers who run into them would probably run into a fence post that leapt out at them or take that chunk out of a tree on the Highway that jumped out at the cross named one .... I get to drive near them all the time... those drivers that is.... terrifying to be near... should be culled.....

Had a tail gater today, thinking that somehow sitting four feet from the back of my Terr'uh'tree would get them there faster in a 100 kph zone at peak hour with a host of cars in front of me and coming the other way .... I just kept going up and down on the cruise control until they backed off... when they start waving a hand in the air in frustration you know you've won ...

Oh - many women think I'm sexy - but they don't have to live with me and my sense of humour.... and my unwillingness to be unfairly criticised or argued with over nothing... it's called 'loyalty' - a thing in very short supply with women these days...

It seems that my looks rely on me having facial hair. After the winter this year, I shaved the entire beard off. It was then that I looked like I was facing a middle-aged man looking back at me in the mirror. I look about 10 years younger with a moustache and chin hair.
