The ABC did not use the term.  Philip Adams used the term, in a private Tweet.  The ABC does not control everything their presenters say privately. It is obvious you have a bug bear against the ABC.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  ::) ::)

There is no such thing as a private tweet and a high profile media personality like Adams would be well aware of it, as he would also be aware that he represents his employer whenever he comments.  The ABC was among those baying for the blood of Israel Folau when he made comments they disliked on his social media, so they should be holding their own employees to the same standard.  ::)

Used to be a Greco or an Eye-tie - now they are part of the furniture... I like Greeks and Italians - they're good with knives...

I suppose my cardiologist is an Honorary White - he's Indian born in south Africa and a very intelligent man, though his underlings at the hospital say he is very firm about things done his way... well - when you're cutting people you all need to be on the same page, you know...

The Japanese are considered "honourary whites" due to their adoption of Western culture.

Adam's called Don Bradman a "right wing racist nutjob" for writing a congratulatory letter to Frazer two days after Whitlam's dismissal.
As for not meeting Nelson Mandela before he, Bradman, died:

As a result of the Australian Cricket Board’s stance (chaired by Bradman at the time), Nelson Mandela had huge respect for Bradman. When Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser visited Mandela in prison in 1986, his first question was; “tell me Mr Fraser, is Don Bradman alive?”.

Four years later, Fraser presented Mandela with a bat with an inscription from Bradman: “to Nelson Mandela. In recognition of a great unfinished innings – Don Bradman”.

In 1996, Mandela and D’Oliveira stood in their whites and a Proteas cricket blazer as England played South Africa at Centurion.

“It is one of the greatest days of my life,” D’Oliveira said in a TV interview. He had lunch with Mandela in 2005 while on one of his final coaching trips.

But due to Bradman’s frailties and eagerness to keep away from the spotlight, he and Mandela never met.

“Mandela said often it was the beginning of the end as soon as Bradman stood up,” Perry said.

“It’s why Mandela said Don was one of the divinity. He is my hero of heroes. He had a good feel for Bradman and listened to the Tests in the 1930s. They never met. Bradman was on the way out in 1992 and not feeling comfortable with the media. They wrote to each other though.

“Mandela loved Bradman for the stance he took on racism. Perhaps more than anyone else.”

Adam is a Mothraesque-Bbwianesque extreme left cockwomble and nutter.

All government employees sign a social media code of conduct, Brian. Most employees of big corporations do.

But creating a barrier between private citizen Phillip Adams and Phillip Adams the broadcaster is impossible to do on social media. There is no ethical, legal or contractual distinction.

You post publicly online, and you bring your workplace into it. That's life, that's Freeeeeeedom.

Phillip Adams showed a dazzling display of poor form. Such bad manners are not Phillip Adams. His apology was late, abrupt, and the damage had already been done.

Adams could have stopped all this with a sincere apology at the outset. We all say things wrong, or mix up the nuances, timing, etc. A well-timed apology heals most wounds. Kamal's been around.

The ABC are thin-skinned and priceless. Scratch them and they lie low to nurse their wounds or throw a hissy. The ABC needs to learn from this too.
