Journalist Stan Grant will make his return to the public arena moderating an expert panel trying to demystify the Indigenous voice to federal parliament.

Indigenous Australians Minister Linda Burney and lawyer and land rights activist Noel Pearson will address the Sydney Town Hall forum before the panel of experts, including prominent 'yes' campaigners, take audience questions on Wednesday night.

Grant, a trailblazer in his field, stepped away from his ABC commitments eight weeks ago citing the toll of racist abuse.

His return comes a day after both the 'yes' and 'no' camps revealed the arguments they will make to win voters to their respective sides in the coming referendum.

Australians will be asked whether they support an Indigenous advisory body being enshrined in the constitution.

The town hall audience will be able to quiz Kerry O'Brien and Thomas Mayo, who co-authored a handbook on the voice, as well as one of the nation's leading constitutional experts, Anne Twomey.

“We know that they said they don’t just want the symbolism of recognition, they want something that will make a practical difference to their lives.”

Mr Pearson told a described it at a forum in Sydney on Tuesday as “unfinished business”.

The town hall audience will also be able to quiz Kerry O’Brien and Thomas Mayo, who co-authored a handbook on the Voice, as well as one of the nation’s leading constitutional experts, Anne Twomey.

Professor Twomey said each panel member knew the proposal backwards and wanted to address any questions and concerns.

While she wasn’t aware of another country having a constitutionally enshrined advisory body for Indigenous people, each country’s constitution and political system differed, she said.

That made it unsurprising that there wasn’t an exact replica of the Australian proposal.

“The point of the Voice is that it’s Indigenous – in the sense that it is something that came from us to meet our own circumstances,” Professor Twomey said.

“Why would it look the same as some other body in another country?”

I looked at his youtube channel. He comes off as a white supremacist. If he changed to a more Australian Nationalist tone, he would have more supporters.

I doubt it will be the last time you see it, too.... people's sub-conscious tells them something is not right, so they reach for THE symbol of wrongness to express their discontent. It matters not - as I've explained so many times now - if a 'government' is either Fascist of Stalinist or even Extreme Communist - they all end up exactly the same - with a single figurehead surrounded by his lackeys who wield all power in the state and do so willingly without thought or remorse what for happens to the people.

Even here 30-40 years ago you saw elements of that in 'industrial relations'?

(What are industrial relations? The boss getting his family and mates in to bash you into line - a very 'right wing' concept now used by the likes of Thomas Mayo the 'communist' who has just come down from a yearly jaunt around Australia at your cost to push the voice).

The big and real problem is that real socialism, as once embodied in a mix of Menzies and then Labour - is viewed as part of either extreme, and is not properly considered in terms of actually producing the greatest good for the greatest number. Grasping peasantry from Europe/Asia showed us how wrong we've been for so long while they took us to the cleaners.

Worst thing our politicians ever did to us was start to bring in inimical groups and then promote them with AA and such and coddling treatment.

Have a look at the thumbnail of Cottrell's video. It looks like some alcoholic just slurring his words. Look at the video in its context. Who the hell would take seriously a video of some guy smugly mouthing off about aboriginal entitlement, whilst the split screen shows a computer animation of a car crashing downhill?

I swear you could take that still photo thumbnail of Blair Cottrell and put *hic* *hic* next to his ears to emphasise how drunk he looks. And the way he muppet-styles the enunciation of his words -- he is not serious about what he says. No wonder he gets booted off facebook accounts.

The last time I defaced anything was the time I grammar corrected the writing on the underpass near Glenmore Maccas. But, I think I will keep aware of any aboriginal flags I see around town and put a Nazi symbol inside of each of them.

Just ended an argument with a transactivist - pointing out that world opinion and governments themselves are now turning off the taps for vile interventions with minors and children - I provided links - 'her' response was that these were all - British, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Swiss etc governnments included as well as studies commissioned by health services by governments - 'right wing neo-conservative blog sites' or similar.

Yet the same standard is never applied by these fanatics to all the lies put about by 'their' side of the question.

Then this person had the temerity to say that my calling 'her' a fanatic was out of order. I responded that I had won that fight - myself and a few million others - and that the adults who chose that path have it on their own heads... but at least the walls are growing around the children to protect them.

This approach by this fanatic shows how far The Madness can worm its way into the minds and souls of even reasonable and intelligent people.... and YES ... it is no different from Nazism, which wormed its way into the German soul and psyche and caused otherwise good Germans to do terrible things, or Stalinism or Maoism and all the other great -isms that have wrought such fearful harm on humanity in their pursuit of The Madness.

And now we have The Madness writ large in this 'voice'......

NO thank you - they have no right to demand anything, least of all the absolute right to have us accept unconditionally their advice (i.e. their 'listen') or they will punish us..
