Just when you think you’ve seen it all. This came through my Facebook feed this morning!

I don’t know of any couple (given our life is being affected/defined by rising interest rates, rising inflation rates, rising rental rates etc) who would bother with this type of insurance.

When planning a wedding one carefully considers plan B scenarios (I’m thinking rain IF you’re hoping for a garden ceremony....stuff like that).

Perhaps I’ve missed something which this insurance product has cleverly thought of??? Even there I keep coming back to 1 possible circumstance : if either groom or bride decides to jilt the other. Nope...if you’re planning your wedding and seriously considering insuring yourself against being jilted then perhaps that ought to be enough of a clue NOT to proceed.

Edit : I’ve now completed a quote (just to see how much a middle of the road premium would be). It came back at around $1500 and oh boy even that had a long list of exclusions and limits. 😳

I know of one wedding where the guests were supposed to be fed at 8.00pm
and they only started to get their food at midnight.
It wasn't very good food either - all heated up stuff they made the day before.
Some people were so hungry that they went across the road
and bought back KFC to eat.
(they brought KFC back to the wedding table)

Too many wedding companies rip people off for huge money -
they ruin that special day.
