was way over my pay grade, LOL, but my simple takeaway
was an overall loss of 12,256km² and a gain of 17,560km²
of Antarctic ice—a "modest" increase of 0.4 % during the
period 2009 to 2019.

Scientific American [July 2027] said Zwally's 2015 study—
though scientifically sound—is an outlier cherry-picked
by conservative news outlets to advance their denialist
positions.  In the summer of 2017 Prison Planet, one of

evidence that president Donald Trump made the correct
decision for the US leaving the Paris agreement on fighting

My conclusions after reading that article were as follows:

The Sth Pole and surrounding regions like Tasmania and New Zealand are getting colder WHILST the warmer regions ie everywhere else might be slowly getting warmer.

You couldn’t pay me enough to make me think of moving to/living in Tasmania or New Zealand. The cost of heating would be abominable for starters and if Covid19 loves the cold then that’s where you’ll find it.

BTW - Scientific American is no longer held in high esteem.

Trump pulled out of Paris because there were more onerous provisions applied to USA than elsewhere. Also it was an executive decision, it didn't pass through Congress. Biden going back in is another executive decision, not based on science.

In fact there are many predicting being above 1.5C by 2027. So much for the Paris Agreement.

You could live in Tassie in winter if you had proper clothing
which would include thermal underwear - a full body suit.

What do you reckon the cost of running an air conditioner would be? I only use my air conditioner if it gets over 35°C -- and sometimes not even then. And I use a heater if it is 10°C during the winter. The idea is to either get a good ventilation breeze through the house during the summer. Otherwise, insulate the house to keep the warmth inside during the winter.

I love my woodfire!

But would much prefer a heat pump.

Got to 19° where I was today on a shopping trip.

Spent a nice hour walking the beach with Socks.

It was 27°C yesterday at after 2pm, here. I turned the fan on for the first time just to cool down after having washed the car. Was cool last night, but not cool enough to not feel hot under the doona.
