I have to admit that I have had memory loss/fog from my drinking. I watched my security camera footage to see how drunk I got on Saturday night. When I go sober for 4 weeks, I should have my old self back on track.

I honestly don’t understand how anyone can get past a 2nd drink. For me...that 1st glass of Shiraz or Merlot over dinner is exquisitely tantalising.

Then that refill turns up and I oh boy ...I just can’t drink it. Why? It doesn’t have the sensational taste of the 1st glass. I am left struggling to enjoy/finish that 2nd glass. My husband usually ends up drinking the 2nd glass of wine for me.

I guess I’ll never understand people who drink a lot of alcohol. I’m beginning to think that they too only enjoy the first drink like I do BUT unlike me they then embark on some bizarre journey of self sabotage/self flagellation. It’s as if they’re punishing themselves for something that’s happened in their past but they have convinced themselves that the alcohol is there to help them with facing the demons of the past. 🥺😔

As I say, I like the taste of scotch. But, I can only drink about 500mL of scotch before my hyperinsulinemia kicks in and I have to go sleep for 4 hours. Because of my schizophrenia, I take to the drink to overcome whatever PTSD issues I have had. Earlier this year, I went 3 weeks without any alcohol. But the stress just kicked in from returning memories of old events from long past. You would think that I would just resolve my subconscious issues with conscious counter measures. But, alcohol seems to fast track me obliterating the PTSD as a "not my problem anymore" measure.

I don't enjoy drinking anymore. I bought a couple bottles of Wolf Blass red label shiraz, and used my wine glasses for the first time. I had one bottle one night. The other bottle I finished the next night. It was a good buzz, and I was hoping that would be it for my drinking. But no, I bought another bottle of scotch a few days later and got stuck into that.

My body has given up the ghost for being able to drink much. I think I have to cut out the alcohol from here onwards. I have had this cough that I figure is alcohol related. And I know that I would be rid of the virus if I just went sober. With winter coming up, and me starting a TAFE course, I want to be focused on doing well. Plus, I have my medical coming up that needs me to be physically well.

So, nup I won't be selected as a moderator, let alone a GMod, unless I can prove myself.

It is dying partly from pisspoor moderation. Why the hell can’t FD change the name and icon of my board? Cats and Critters implies cats are not critters—smacking STUPID!

The two GMods are rarely here, abuse has driven some away, like Emma, Squire etc. The mess that is the Corona Virus board has seen Sad Kangaroo and Barnacle leave. Environment is a wasteland, the clown supposedly Moderating that toilet of a board NEVER talks about the environment! Any wonder the more intelligent are leaving?

It looks like the abuse has driven off SprintCyclist, not seen for two months. Well done FD! NOT!

I was considering doing a personal message to multiple recipients to reach out and see if they want to re-engage in OzPol. But, I figure I would be accused of spamming.

Old users have stopped posting here for various reasons. They have better things to do with their time. They are unable to post here. But, I bet many of them still check in to see what is going on, but do not want to be caught up in the schitt.

Is that what the issue here is? People do not like the quality of the posts here and want to go elsewhere for more intellectual debate. I have already started my search for other website forums pertaining to Australian topics. Casual viewers and friends of mine who read my posts have told me to just stop posting here and go somewhere better. I mean, this site is a step up from PoliticalAnimal, but that is not saying much.

Considering Monk and Smith have never been happy with this Forum in any manner, shape or form.
It's a telling sign of their sheer insanity why they keep coming here.
When banned from here - both would slag this Forum and FD off abusively... and yet, once the bans are lifted - they come scurrying back here for the attentions they need, that Monk's PA Forum doesn't provide them with.

Appoint some new GMods.

Examine the MRBs, some could probably be done away with or merged, a couple boards have a suitable Mod appointed and Environment desperately needs a new Mod, one that posts using scientific papers etc to discuss environment and maybe arrest the dive of OzPol’s SEO rating.

The only stupidity going on there is Boris' endless need to have his allegations of cannibalism validated by other members. Apart from that, the board is quite a valid part of OzPol. I would love to keep sharing my experiences of indigenous problems and criminal behaviour that I have witnessed.

The coronavirus board is getting a bit stale. But it is still relevant. I would not mind looking back on this board in a couple of years and having a laugh at the hysteria of the KungFlu.

Oh, no! Not the "racists!" accusations. How ever will we be able to live that down? There is nothing wrong with a bit of balanced debate about indigenous issues. 3% of the population is having a lopsided amount of airplay about their "voice". Whereas, we can have people debate against the proposal. The indigenous people have Brian and thegreatdivide to act as the representatives for indigenous people here.

I think we might have to pack up the coronavirus board, soon. Give it until after the winter in Australia is over. Then ditch it to an obsolete topics board.

I have photos of myself, family, home, animals, co-workers on my facebook account. But, I would restrict access to those photos for people who are on my friends list only. And if I was so worried about having my photos exposed by hackers, I would delete them from social media.

I meant that the implication of your allegations was that Bobby got access to photos of you through unsecure social media. And you are able to take self photos ("selfies"), btw.

No, Boris has tried the deflecting tactic, always carrying on about something else when asked to provide evidence, or claiming someone else said something, all without ever addressing the actual comment he was asked to support. He should either support his comments ,or admit he dreamed it all up

Bam's default action was to attack the person rather than argue a point.

Sprintcyclist comes and goes 'consistently' like El Nino/Nina.
He'll always be around.

Sad Kangaroo was around a lot when It_is_the_Light was around a lot - both enjoying their 'duel' until 'Light' lost a bet and left for good like a sore loser.
Since then - life in the 'Fringe' where SK mods has been quiet even if all things Fringe has become popular again under Biden's term.

Barnacle is getting older and doesn't post as much, but he'll still pop in at times.

You can deflect during a loading tactic. I agree with you. Boris needs to do more than just posting randomness without any verifiable evidence.
