There were plenty of negative aspects of colonialism like when the Arabs moved into the East Indies. But we now live in a period which only looks at the European variety. So while we are at it, lets look at how many late colonies adopted a English parliamentary system. If those countries had never come in contact with Western thought, the people on New Zealand, Hawaii, New Guinea, and the Solomons would still be eating each other. The Chinese would still be binding women's feet, and enslaving millions. I favour a cosmopolitan society, not a multicultural one.
