Greenland has a population of about 60,000. So, if someone commits suicide by firearm, the suicide rate for the whole country is 1.6 per 100,000 people. Therefore, 10 suicides per year would account for that 16 per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, Australia has a suicide rate of about 12 per 100,000. Did you consider that in Nuuk, Greenland, seasonal affective disorder comes into play during the winter months? The people there have between 4 to 6 hours of daylight during their winter months. I could not imagine much getting done outdoors in that time of year, even with the sunlight out. But 18 to 20 hours of nighttime would drive people nuts.
