#Ebay #Scam Here is how an ebay scam works, watch out for it! In this case, it's high value test equipment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkyZGO4ZV08 |

The scammer is still showing on Ebay
https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/punki64?filter=feedback_page%3ARECEIVED_AS_SELLER%2Cperiod%3ATWELVE_MONTHS%2Coverall_rating%3APOSITIVE&commentType=POSITIVE But all the 100s of adverts don't work. |

Thanks for that: Amazing how legit it all looks. Copying real sellers stuff then they have to prove it wasn’t them that scammed anyone. Today husband gets a phone call … automated voice saying “this is visa security …” he hangs up. I asked… another bs scammy call? >:( On a currant affair or news… forget which one… just recently a woman was scammed of $12,000 She gets a text from her daughter she’s lost her old phone and to use this new number. Honestly…. that’s the easiest scam to detect… Some people need to be more discerning than gullible. |

But that scammer had made exact duplicates of the eBay pages. The fast that it didn't go through PayPal should have been a red flag. Why aren't these fraudsters tracked down and given heavy jail sentences? He put 100s of adverts on eBay - surely eBay should pay out compensation to all the victims? Punki64 even had a KISS pin ball machine for sale - just a photo of course - it was all fake. |

I meant about how gullible some are with simple phone text pretending to be daughter etc But that eBay ad looks very legit and it’s concerning: The one thing that was a good hint it’s fake… when the link to terms and conditions don’t work. Because no one clicks on that anyway. But if something seems to good to be true… I will click on terms and conditions … |

I haven't used Ebay for about 4 years. I got a lot of good things from eBay like a battery for my laptop. I only got ripped off on 2 transactions out of about 50 transactions in the last 20 years. The seller insisted they sent the goods but they never arrived. They had no proof that they had sent the goods and by the time PayPal got involved it was too late - 6 weeks was too long for them as it had passed their time for compensation. Each time was only small money - about $25. My last ripoff was buying a watch from catch.com.au for a friend - they never actually had the watch in stock but took the money. They credited my PayPal account so I got my money back after many angry emails. That's the main problem - you are buying based on a picture - there is no proof that the item even exists but they will take your money. |

Never trusted any of those buy/sell platforms - never used them.
Sold an old Thicknesser last week down the local Pub. Old School still works for me. |
