Title: What is this horse made of?

Small figurine of a galloping horse. The material it is made from is translucent <== a clue!

It is Chinese in origin <== A MAJOR clue!

It is small, maybe 10cm by 6cm?

My horse is made out of nephrite which looks like jade and was considered jade but is a tad softer. Jade or nephrite are acceptable answers.

My Chinese neighbor back in SA accepted the horse as jade. She has sharp eyes—told me which of the Chinese teapots I had bought (I bought a real kitsch one as a giggle) and showed me the one had actually been used. She also saw a petal had broken on one of the “roses” on my porcelain peacock.

One other item—but I will pose this as a challenge later on so mum is the word now.
