The article states that the man was not injured during the protest and died of natural causes - then says the the protest "likely" contributed to his condition. Which is it? The media seems to be twisting the MEs words here.  Were this not Trump related would we be hearing about any such lawsuit?  ::)

Donald Trump should just pay the $10 million and pledge his support for Law Enforcement, without accepting responsability of course....He could pay it from the millions of dollars his supporters have donated???

This is crazy, Brian. This family should be thanking Mr Trump for stopping the violence. Mr Trump was the only one to speak out and stop the riots.

"We have to have peace" he said. "So go home. We love you; you're very special."

Remember, Mr Trump loved and understood the American people. "I know how you feel," he said, "but go home, and go home in peace."

Jan 6 was a peaceful protest - people marched with candles, linked arms and sung hymns. Mr Trump planned to march with them to ensure a peaceful, non-violent protest, an act of civil courage. The strategy was modelled on the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, who Mr Trump studied and admired. No one would have been hurt if it wasn't for the Deep State plants who started the violence.

These were some very sick people, Brian. It's why Mr Trump ordered the Secret Service to allow armed protesters in. The people needed to defend themselves - and Mr Trump - from the provocateurs. Can you imagine? People turning against their president? In America?

America needs patriots like the Proud Boys to defend their president and their Constitution. Jan 6 was all about peace and the rule of law, as Mr Trump said.

"We have to have law and order," Mr Trump said. "We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don't want anybody hurt."

Do you see? Mr Trump wanted to protect the police. This family should be thanking Mr Trump, not suing him, it's despicable.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Seems like the Capitol Security (all fully armed) on the day have turned out like a bunch of soccer-diver panzies like Peccary because they got over-run by NERDS by shear numbers, than violence.

While American Citizens have shown to have more balls and tougher actions (than the Capitol Building Security) when they were BURNED, LOOTED, RIOTED, KILLED, BASHED, RAPED AND MORE BY THE 'BLACK' PEOPLE OVER SOME JUNKIE HAVING AN OVERDOSE - WHO HAPPENED TO BE BLACK AND BECAUSE THE COP WAS WHITE WHO HAD NEARLY LOST HIS LIFE BY VIOLENT JUNKIES PREVIOUSLY UPON TWO OCCASSIONS.

Let's weigh up both these two situations and you all tell me, which one is the true Evil act of Terrorism?

Police officers tend to have shorter lives than those people employed in other occupations. But they are compensated for their dangerous work with good income. If you are not dying during or just after the course of your job, I do not see the relevance.

As I see it...

Trump incited the violence that caused officer Sicknick to be
present at the Capitol on the day of the potential insurrection.

Ergo, Trump is responsible for the officer's death.   End of story.

Bear in mind that Trump had originally planned to march with
his armed rabble of anarchists, but it was only at the last minute
he decided against it—on the advice of his lieutenants.

(Considering his bone spurs prevented him from completing his
military service, I'd be surprised he could've walked that far.)

Who can say? Can you? Can anybody?

Is it perhaps something else? An indefinable conundrum known to all as complete krap?

He got over his bone spurs, Geoff, that was ages ago. Mr Trump's doctor said he has the fitness and stamina of a guy half his age, believe me.

Here's Mr Trump today. Standing tall for America, playing football, making millions, defending the family farm. He's even been into outer space.

I think he can link arms with his fellow patriots and walk half a mile down Pennsylvania Avenue, don't you?

Mr Trump loves Pennsylvania Avenue. Jan 6 is a great day for a tour of the Capitol, no?

Which was worse?

A bunch of American Citizens (mostly Nerds dressed as Buffalo Shamans) who stormed a 'heavily armed' Government Building which was forewarned enough to be prepared, to which the American Citizens succeeded in accomplishing to 'mess up some paperwork' like an End of Year Muck-Up-Day. Also, some of them were shot dead by heavily armed Security.

OR

BLACK LIVES MATTER and any Black people who just wanted to join in - who systematically RIOTED in the name of a Junkie who had a drug induced cardiac arrest (healthy people don't die from such a restraining method) derived from 'guilty paranoia' although wasn't being arrested. Of which this Junkie died under the restraint of a Police Officer (who just happened to be White of course) who had previously nearly lost his life in the course of Duty on two occassions by 'Junkies'.
With this - American Citizens across the whole country were subjected to BURNING, LOOTING, DESTRUCTION, BASHINGS, VIOLENCE, RAPE, KILLINGS and so on. Probably eventually pacified when White Women 'pussified' them via Peaceful-Protests of holding hands.

So lets see the Moral Compass on this one.

Massive violence against American citizens nationwide?
or
Democrats taking a soccer dive over a 'heavily armed' building being messed up just because Trump was associated?

The Choice is yours.

The failed former president incited the violent Jan. 6 terrorist attack.  Fact.

The events at that terrorist attack led to the police officer's death.  Fact.

Thus, the failed ex-president should be held to account.

The complete frickin' insanity of Trump supporters does nothing to undo the reason why they rioted at the Capitol. How utterly oblivious to the narcissistic personality-disordered president can you be for 4 years? You do not need to be a body language expert to tell that Trump lost fairly and by quite a big margin to be ousted in 2020. I understand that it had to be Trump over Clinton in the 2016 election. But, I would rather see an aged Captain America take over the leadership for a few years rather than have to put up listening to 4 more years of Trump slur his way through appealing to a bunch of white supremacist hillbillies.

Floyd was a junkie arsehole that would have made the world a better place if he died in his sleep that morning in bed. However, that does not mean that he would have died at that time, regardless of whether a police officer kneeled on Floyd's neck. Floyd was talking with people freely with officers and the public for a few minutes whilst he was (needlessly) held on the ground for a number of minutes. He was (eventually) compliant enough that the officers should have got him up and put into the police vehicle. Yet, you notice that Chauvin changed the positioning of his knee ever so slightly that when Floyd did pass out, Chauvin swiveled his knee to ensure that Floyd did lose the ability to breathe.

Reading the medical examiner's report, my untrained understanding of George Floyd's medical history only leads me to believe that Floyd was an unwell individual. He had an enlarged heart. He had heart disease. He had fentanyl in his system. He was a recent cannabis user. But, Floyd had also recovered from covid a month earlier. So, he obviously was not going to die so easily.

If 4 guys laid upon you for 9 minutes, with one guy with his knee on your neck for much of that time, I could be sure that you would at least pass out and possibly die, depending on your recovery ability.

BS Subby. He was at no moment 'compliant' and at every moment he argued and resisted the most basic requests with all hesitations and persuasions to do otherwise. All the signs of a 'guilty' and hostile consciousness looking for a way out and to take control of the situation over the officers.

Remember those two Australian Officers who allowed an offender some 'leeway' when under the same restraint, cried he couldn't breath. The officer removed his knee and straight away the offender turned on them - nearly gaining a gun and shooting them both, before the struggle eventually went back to the officer's advantage.

I would like to see you take 'chances' with a Junkie who resists you or tries to take control of the situation over you.

Floyd was argumentative and in denial about his guilt. He gave up his name and identity to the officers. When they put him in the police vehicle, Floyd reacted to being stabbed in the leg with a pen -- and that is implied in the medical examiner's report. The officer's used this as an excuse to take Floyd out of the vehicle and detain Floyd on the ground. The issue that people usually do not dispute is that Chauvin held his knee on Floyd's neck for about 3 minutes passed the time that Floyd had passed out. That is known as "murder".

I have actually been attacked by a junkie. As long as you hold your ground, the junkie will eventually back down. People on "ice" will be tougher to control, though. You don't know what it is like to fight people high on drugs. Floyd was weak, despite his muscular strength.

People can argue that George Floyd was as noncompliant as he could be that day. George Floyd can rot in hell, for all I care.

The very fact is that some micropenis police officers, who has had dealing with George Floyd in the past, decided that Floyd was a problem that needed eradicating from society. So says the verdict. Whatever incorrigible behaviour Floyd exhibited did not warrant his death at the hands of a police officer.

George Floyd would have probably been dead within 2 years from his own poor choices of drug use. Not 9 minutes after an officer put his knee on Floyd's neck.

Actually Floyd died from the overdose of Fentanyl in his system but if the Police Officer hadn't been wrongfully charged and convicted Cities would have burned! The greater good was the excuse to send an honest man to prison! Thanks to this incident Police Officers all over the Country are afraid to do their jobs, many just quit and changed careers.

If all 4 police officers spontaneously combusted their heads, George Floyd would not have had a heart attack as a result of the shock. He was not a well man. But, he was not so bad that he could not handle the psychological stress of the situation. Maybe he would have died within the next 12 months, unless he had a complete change of personality and made life-altering choices to his health.

Experts: George Floyd died from knee to neck, not drug overdose

"The county medical examiner’s office ruled Floyd’s death a homicide due to “cardiopulmonary arrest,” not an overdose, even though he had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system. Medical experts at the murder trial for one of the former police officers involved also testified Floyd died of a lack of oxygen from being pinned to the pavement with a knee on his neck, not from drug use. A jury unanimously agreed, finding the former officer guilty of murder and manslaughter."

So you say. But you're an idiot among other things 'Jungle' Peccary. I've had much experience with junkies, etc via a few demographics, many situations and more upon a Professional level. From Floyd's first 'twitch' he was non-compliant regardless if it was his choice or the drugs making the choice for him. His behaviour, body language and more would put me on my guard at the first moment.
Do you argue with Police every time they ask you to do a breath test?

People can argue that George Floyd was as noncompliant as he could be that day. George Floyd can rot in hell, for all I care.

The very fact is that some micropenis police officers, who has had dealing with George Floyd in the past, decided that Floyd was a problem that needed eradicating from society. So says the verdict. Whatever incorrigible behaviour Floyd exhibited did not warrant his death at the hands of a police officer.

George Floyd would have probably been dead within 2 years from his own poor choices of drug use. Not 9 minutes after an officer put his knee on Floyd's neck.

Actually Floyd died from the overdose of Fentanyl in his system ...

Hmmm   :-/

Who to believe - an internet troll who dropped out of high-school in year 9, or experts?

Experts: George Floyd died from knee to neck, not drug overdose

"The county medical examiner’s office ruled Floyd’s death a homicide due to “cardiopulmonary arrest,” not an overdose, even though he had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system. Medical experts at the murder trial for one of the former police officers involved also testified Floyd died of a lack of oxygen from being pinned to the pavement with a knee on his neck, not from drug use. A jury unanimously agreed, finding the former officer guilty of murder and manslaughter."

Thousands of people disappear in America every year, I'm sure the Coroner didn't want to be one of them! He was told what results to find for the greater good as well as his own.

Exactlemente. Every year, thousands of coroners are told what results to find for the greater good as well as their own.

As for directors of the Centre of Disease Control, forget about it.
