Post by Sprintcyclist on Dec 4th, 2022 at 4:45pm
It's nice.
First snack off it was really good.

1/2 a Kenso Mango, grapes and Camembert cheese

When are you going to start a topic with something dramatic, controversial, full of emotion and something that can attract many members to go at it for pages and pages for weeks and weeks.

No offence Sprint, but are you Ned Flanders?

I have no interest in 'members 'going for it' week after week.'

I have no interest in abuse, sarcasm and male toxicity.

Thanks Aquascoot.
It is important to spend much time with positive people and in positive areas and doing positive things.

Sounds Good.

How was the early season Mango ?

What colour is the set - White?

Had a few mango trees at one time - that was great.

A photo would have helped this thread along a bit.

Like a young Buddha in his Palace safe house Aqua.

I think Sprinty, you need to go on a tour of Mt Druitt or Wilcannia.
Maybe visit those cannibals that Boris goes on about and come back to us with a story worth telling more than... camembert cheesy.

While I have drunk tea/coffee from chipped enamel mugs I prefer a set to maximise enjoyment of meals.

Six coffee mugs all all different shapes/sizes, plates ditto—not conducive to full enjoyment of a great meal. OK for a hurried meal on the move  but that is it.

I heard they are going to ban plastic disposable plates, like they have done with plastic bags and straws.

Then put them back on the shelves at 20X the price.

I like plastic straws, all of the replacements are awful.

I hardly ever use these plastic plates but they come in handy on the odd occasion when you need some.

The paper straws are like going back to the 50s and 60s when it was what we used with milkshakes.
Sure plastic straws are ok only if all humans could be trusted with doing the right thing by proper and safer disposal or for recycling.
But alas… the ocean is now filled with micro plastics.
There are s/s straws one can buy now. Maybe look at that option if you don’t like paper straws.

The old 60's paper straws are not like the current paper straws.

Yes there are option but they are all terrible.

The best is the metal straws with the plastic covering. However as soon as you misplace the cleaning thing for them they almost certainly become a health issue.

That’s the exact issue I have about metal straws too!
I’m tempted to buy some… and then there are those hard plastic ones with curves and swirls …
It makes my mind think… what a nightmare it must be to clean them after use if not rinsed straight after use!

The new Dinner set of fine bone China.
Pure white. It really nice to use.

The white background lights up the food well.
It is the white background for your palette.
It really encourages the use of colourful food.

Haven't tried them - may give it a go but have to admit it does not sound great.
