There's always going to be legislation on firearms, Panther, it's inevitable. They're designed to kill, dear, so most people get it.

Here in NSW, for example, you can only own a gun if you have a license, register it with police, belong to a club, and keep it in a gun safe, away from the kids. Guns here are carefully regulated, and thus, gun deaths are rare. It's popular legislation too - the electorate supports it.

So I'm curious. Would you prefer to see all firearm legislation revoked?

I would like to see all restrictive UNCONSTITUTIONAL gun laws, stricken from legal statutes everywhere in America.

Many Unconstitutional Laws have yet to be determined as Unconstitutional by the SCOTUS unfortunately  simply because the Supreme Court rarely looks for/takes on laws to reverse/strike without already being in litigation.

Being an APPELLATE Court, the highest Appellate Court in America, means that American Citizens must start litigation, to determine Constitutionality, at the lowest level, litigation that goes through the chain of inferior appellate courts prior to making it up to the US Supreme Court.....in order for the US Supreme Court to take it up & hopefully come to a final decision regarding Constitutionality. Final simply because a SCOTUS Decision can not be appealed.....It can only be changed/reversed by a subsequent US Supreme Court at some later date in time.

The American People's Second Amendment Constitutional Right......the actual Right itself: ".... the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Gun Laws that "Infringe" upon a Law-Abiding American's Rights to Keep (own) or Bear (in the possession of/possess on their person) a firearm, for lawful purposes like self-defense, would be Unconstitutional.

Constitutionality should be left up to the US Supreme Court for the most part.

There are existing firearm ownership limitations that I would agree with .... ownership restrictions on convicted felons & for those medically determined to be dangerously mentally ill.

than those who don’t have such weapons at home. “We found zero evidence of a
any kind of protective effects” from living in a home with a handgun.

Unintentional?

Strange. Members here are saying guns don't kill people, blacks do.

The main source of gun deaths are blacks in Democrat-run LGAs with Republican governors. These blacks get about marauding and rioting and looting, taking whatever they want from Whitey, who spinelessly turns the other cheek from Tamany Hall.

It's so unfair. All the prez can do is complain and threaten to send in the national guard. If he gets really cranky, he can tell his supporters to stand back and stand by, then fight like hell and lynch the VP.

There are, of course, good and bad people on both sides, particularly those who drive over protesters or shit on Nancy Pelosi's desk. The blacks started all this, including one who came from Kenya and pretended to be prez for eight years.
