So, why isn't it a national holiday here in Australia like it is in the US and Canada?

After all, we're celebrating "Black Friday" tomorrow with what the shops are hoping will be a massive spending spree by customers.

Would probably need to be a massive spending spree to pay for all of the newspaper and TV "Black Friday" ads we've been bombarded with all week.

And, if the past few years are anything to go by the following two Fridays (and every day in between) will be "Black Fridays" as well.  ::)

I agree… why are we not celebrating it here in Oz.
It seems we take on all other occasions … “thanksgiving” has a nice feel about it…
Instead we are inundated with consumerism with Black Friday …but not just one day… it extends the whole week!

1. We NEVER celebrate Halloween.

2. We're thankful EVERY day that we're NOT in the USA.

They're in the oven...I'm excited!
