Title: What's wrong with this picture? Webb telescope Post by random on Sep 22nd, 2022 at 4:16pm
It can see stars billions of light years away. So why the farrrkk is this all we can see of a planet it is near?
Hubble took a better pic than that. Are these guys keeping the good stuff for themselves? webbscope1.png (150 KB | 16

Voyager was a lot closer,
Hubble was using visible wavelengths, JWST uses infrared wavelengths. It's like comparing apples to oranges. ::) |

A stunning infrared view of the last planet in our solar system shows its rings and moons like never before.
https://www.cnet.com/science/space/nasa-webb-space-telescope-just-delivered-the-best-view-of-neptune-since-voyager-2/ Webb is designed differently than Hubble |

Doesn't matter about the technicalites when presenting the images as news.
They look shite, now amazing at all. Even in a different part of the spectrum they are not news worthy. |

The detail with Webb is like 4K compared to the HD of Hubble.
