Using the nitrogen from fish poo in your pondwater to grow crops in.
So you need a reasonable size fishpond, a pump, something to grow the veges/herbs in and a return chute to return the water to the pond. Here is an introductory YouTube on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhcAOE2JOVs&ab_channel=AgricultureAcademy At its very simplest, roll over the water in the pond, take out about 1/3 and replace it with dechlorinated water. Dilute the fishpond water, pour over your veges or flowers etc. Really boosts growth, good tonic in superhot summers. Coriander is a popular plant to grow with aquaponics, it does shoot very readily tho! |
