The two groups worked closely together, to foment opposition to the Shah and his family.

After the Shah was deposed, the ISLAMISTS and the communists in Iran shared power, just as they had agreed to do, once they had removed their mutual enemy.




The last line is truthful,    .....except in its 'execution'.
