i would say its nearly impossible to tell where pericarditis is worse.

it may be covid

it may be the vax.

it may be that when you have had the vax and then get the actual virus which millions of australians are doing, the antibodies  attack the virus and cause some weird immune complex which affects the heart.

My husband too! The only one in the family to be triple vaxxed and the only one who kept testing Covid19 positive for 18 days.

The rest of us are totally unvaccinated and kept testing negative.

He's suffering from long Covid according to our doctor. NSW Dept of Health contacted him to effectively say the same thing.

Brain fog is just one of his symptoms. So yeah he's more or less like Albo ...vague, no idea. 😔

If you have the mRNA vaccine you will get the long covid symptom in the first 5 days.

If you get the long covid19 symptoms immediately after contracting Coved-19 it is a sure bet that it was the covid19 infection that caused it. This is exactly what happened to Tracy.

The interplay of the two is a furphy - the result of either or both is called immunity.

No it is effective but I think it is fair to say that the further the virus gets away from the virus that the vaccine was designed to treat the lass effective it becomes. However it is still very effective at protecting the majority of people from catching it and also at keeping the symptoms and death to a minimum.

Unfortunately when they come up with an updated vaccine to target current strains you will likely be against it as well. I do not see an outcome that you are going to like.

The triple jabs didn't help him much. He contracted Covid19 anyway and kept recording a positive test result every day (he was having a RATS or a Clinic test done).

The rest of us - not once did we register a positive Covid19 RATS test. And we never exhibited any symptoms either. I was his full time carer too! Unmasked and ungloved (just heavily sanitised and surrounded by bleach and disinfectant lol).

I honestly still don't know what to make of it all. I just know that BECAUSE I personally experienced this in my own family home ... I have a lot of unanswered questions.

I'm genuinely puzzled by what happened in my family. My long suffering relatives and neighbours are too. They could see I was highly stressed about wtf was going on as I kept venting to them. I'll tell you what else is stressing me out these days : my Chinese neighbours were telling me about a new Covid19 nightmare in China weeks back (they have lots of family on both sides there so they get to know stuff through the grapevine). Shanghai. A city of 26 million people (the population of Australia?) in extreme lockdown by law and where people have been left to starve. Happening right now as I type. Irrespective of triple jabs/masks/bleach/disinfectant/isolation .. none of it has worked.

Which brings me to my question : It's 2022....we've had a few years to get vaccines sorted/protocols established and in place etc. Why is it that none of it has worked for 26 million people in Shanghai?

Remember: 26 million people (the size of the entire population of Australia) are currently under LEGALLY enforced lockdown measures which effectively means they're isolated to the point where they are unable to access resources. This can't go on. They're going to starve to death. 😔

I hope your family are ok we were locked down about the same time. I have been unwell for a week or two with all the symptoms but have tested clear.

I am aware of the China lockdown but not aware of the strain of virus or the reasons for the lockdown. It does sound frightening for us all though.

With a tad of research -  It appears that Shanghai are easing their restrictions now and that the lockdown is due to their zero covid policy and not a deadly strain - good news. (if correct)

Apologies for coming back to this but you know how my triple jabbed hubby had Covid19 for over 18 days .... despite all our efforts no one could tell us if it was Delta or Omicron.

NSW Dept of Health did not know. They contacted us after 14 days or so because my husband's name had been flagged in their system (those clinics which had tested him every 2nd day had passed on his positive test results to NSW Health).

Long story short : despite the many tests they had which confirmed his positive Covid19 diagnosis their official word was that a clue as to which variant it was could be found in the type of symptoms he was experiencing. So they kept asking him about symptoms. Essentially he was asymptomatic but his face looked very worn out and tired and he was sometimes dizzy. They concluded that they didn't know but it was probably Delta OR Omicron. 😐

Anyway they told him he may possibly have long term  Covid19 and will probably be experiencing those few symptoms for up to 3 months. When he explained my situation and that of the kids ie not vaccinated and testing negative .... again they didn't know/couldn't be sure/could be natural immunity yadda yadda yadda.

(Every second word was "possibly" and "probably". Not once did I hear the word definitely. Once the call ended ... hubby shook his head and told me they're just a bunch of clueless idiots.)

Anyway hubby's lined up for the 4th jab like a good little obedient boy. He pretty much HAS to or else his vaccine passport will lapse.

I'm not sure what to make of all this. I do know for a fact that we're being fed a lot of shyte by a bunch of ignorant politicians and their armies of public servants who are are playing Russian Roulette with our health.

For me ... the following 6 rules are pretty much the go.

1. IF you can stay in lockdown (ie work/study/shop from home) THEN DO IT!

2. Make sure you have disinfectant, bleach and hand sanitizer stations in every bathroom, kitchen and laundry.

3. IF for whatever reason you can't stay in lockdown... then wear a mask and keep hand sanitizer on you.

4. Where possible organise your face to face appointments during non peak periods.

5.  Where possible avoid public transport. Use YOUR car.

6. Eating out should only mean eating outside on your property. Forget going out to restaurants and bars. You'll also save a lot of money ( food + petrol ).

Irrespective of triple jabs/masks/bleach/disinfectant/isolation .. none of it has worked. Which brings me to my question : It's 2022....we've had a few years to get vaccines sorted/protocols established and in place etc. Why is it that none of it has worked for 26 million people in Shanghai? Remember: 26 million people (the size of the entire population of Australia) are currently under LEGALLY enforced lockdown measures which effectively means they're isolated to the point where they are unable to access resources. This can't go on. They're going to starve to death. 😔 I hope your family are ok we were locked down about the same time. I have been unwell for a week or two with all the symptoms but have tested clear. I am aware of the China lockdown but not aware of the strain of virus or the reasons for the lockdown. It does sound frightening for us all though. With a tad of research -  It appears that Shanghai are easing their restrictions now and that the lockdown is due to their zero covid policy and not a deadly strain - good news. (if correct)

Oh wow! I just caught this. Look I'm sorry that you've had Covid19 issues in your household. I know first hand how stressful Covid19 can be.

I hope you all make a full recovery and in future ... kinda mention that you're not well if I come at you online. (Unfortunately I do need to be reminded that other people have their own battles to fight and survive on the home front) 😔

And you're right about China. They are indeed pushing for a zero Covid19 policy. I personally think that's going overboard.
