These surveys border on meaningless given significant numbers of our species pretend to be something they’re not.
The surveys themselves are often questionable. Too often they assume being gay or straight are mutually exclusive.
Then we have the totally insane situation in fundamentalist muslim nations. How many gay/bisexual respondents are going to be honest when asked which side of the fence they fall on ?
On the other hand I’m more interested to see carefully surveyed statistics of the percentage of pedophiles listed according to religion. We could then start asking some very pointed questions about the implications of raising the young ( for instance within so called Christianity) to believe God tortured his son (who is supposed to be part of himself) on the cross.
We are in more ways than I care to think about a very, very queer species.
