I was trying to help a friend tonight.

I wasn't able to load Skype on to an Apple Ipad as
it wanted me to go to the Apple store and pay money - does that sound right?

Why should Skype be free to download and use on
every other device including: Android phones,
my desktop with Win 7 etc - yet not on an Ipad?.

Google and duck duck go and Whirlpool didn't help me answer that.
