I've been watching 'Outback Truckers. Love it.
The trucks are amazing, scenery is Australian ........

The diesel motors are often a 15L, straight 6 cylinder.

Those truckers have difficult times and a hard life of driving on outback roads. But the least they can do when they come through towns is to stop for red lights. They must have an understanding with police. On the way home tonight, I spotted a truck run through a red light on the highway. The traffic that had the next set of green lights included a police car. He made no attempt to go after the truck driver. And the officer seemed like he was off to a general duties job, with no urgency.
