Pascoe can at best be described as economical with the truth and more objectively as an outright liar pushing a political agenda rather than an accurate history. The exposure of his false claims has predictably enraged the professional Aboriginals and virtue signalling whites, leading to the standard response of 'RACIST' rather than any counter argument. ::)

If even 1 archeological site was found supporting his ludicrous claims.
It would be screamed on high. But, sadly, there will never be any evidence, as it does not exist. |

Fish traps aren't aquaculture.... simple, really... they are built to trap fish for immediate use - not for breeding purposes - hence are not aquaculture. Why not just accept that they did a pretty good job of it and leave it at that without the embellishment? One can respect the achievements of others without trying to make those achievements more than they are... One night, down on the farm, I headed out to turn off the pump in the bottom dam, since it was keeping the neighbours awake. turning the flash onto the dam water to see its depth, a huge eel surfaced in the light and rolled around... wow - I said - that dam has been empty for ages before the rains... now look... EELS. I called the household - "Look, Ma - I created aquaculture!" |

No, I concede, Bwyannnnn may have a point. I will read up further before in depth comment. Anecdotally I do remember reading something about this, but it was inconclusive that it was actually man made or a natural phenomenon. That's one possible point, but may be more an aberration than evidence of a systemic and coordinated harvesting enterprise. Ill get back to you. |

Fair enough - maybe one small group of the vastly divided Kaffir worked out that channeling some of the water made trapping fish easier... probably did a study tour to Canada to observe beavers.. it stands to reason that in any population someone must have come up with a good idea.... for that one place.
Where are the others? Why was the idea not broadcast so all could benefit? I mean, we're talking about a Pascoe national governance of a peaceful agrarian people who co-operated all round, aren't we? surely a good thing would be spread around the entire continent so all would benefit, eh? Amazing hysterical historical myth - agrarian societies were peaceful but nomadic tribes were not.... societies with established food supplies and even surpluses went after more and more throughout history... but oh, well... jeez - even in the modern Middle East (oxymoron) the small parcel of land hardscrabble farmer fights off his neighbours and any other marauders wanting to take it from him... or in extreme cases becomes a warlord = king etc.... |

Two land councils representing more than 40,000 Aboriginal people have lodged a formal complaint with the Independent Commission Against Corruption over the number of staff and students at the University of Sydney who self-identify as Indigenous.
The complaint, signed by Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council chief executive Brendan Moyle and backed by Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council chief executive Nathan Moran, says the university is failing to ensure that those who receive benefits for Aboriginal people are in fact Indigenous. “Local Aboriginal people have tried talking to them and they have not listened, so now it’s time to see whether this is in fact corrupt conduct by the University of Sydney,” Mr Moyle said. “These resources – jobs, scholarships for Indigenous people – are funded by the public. “They are designed to help Aboriginal people lift themselves out of disadvantage. “But how does the University of Sydney determine who is Indigenous? We believe it lets people self-identify. There is important legislation in this area, backed by common law. There is in fact a three-part test to determine Aboriginality, worked out by the giants whose shoulders we stand on, and the local land councils are a very important part of the process. “The University of Sydney is not checking (the bona fides of those who claim to be Indigenous) and jobs, and scholarships and other benefits are flowing to people we call the box-tickers. “This issue concerns local Aboriginal people, who want opportunities for their children, and their communities.” Mr Moran said he met with the University of Sydney’s new vice-chancellor, Mark Scott, in October “and I personally told him: you have a problem. But he’s from the Department of Education so he knows the whole state government, every university … has the same problem. |

It's about time these fake abbos were weeded out.
There needs to be a true and proper test for aboriginality. Grandfather or grandmother Parents. Anything else must be proven by DNA. Just think, hundreds of dole bludgers kicked off the abbo bandwagon. It might just work out helping the real aborigines get on their feet with proper funding. Oh, and the cheats MUST be made to pay back everything they stole. |

Fact is that Pascoe put out a book on behalf of the 'for' and his critics have not put out any books on the 'against' to prove that Aboriginals were 'primitives', etc - even though Yuval in his book Sapiens does explain how 'primitive' Civilisations can be in comparison.
So until these 'experts' who pull Pascoes efforts down, come out with their own books of 'proof' - then Pascoe leads 1-0 in the score. Put up or shut up. ;) |

The Dark Emu Story Premiering on ABC TV and iview on Tuesday, 18 July 2023 at 8.30pm. Director Allan Clarke (The Bowraville Murders) takes a close reading of the firestorm of criticism that engulfed Bruce Pascoe’s 2014 bestseller, Dark Emu. In his book, Pascoe argues that the true history of pre-colonial Australia was hidden away for over 150 years, and that Aboriginal people were not “mere hunter-gatherers” but sophisticated farmers in “the early stages of an agricultural society”. It was a literary phenomenon, selling more than a quarter of a million copies and winning Book of the Year at the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. One that sparked a heated national debate, and faced fierce opposition from academics — anthropologist Peter Sutton (who Pascoe confronts in the film) and field archaeologist Keryn Walsh co-authored a rebuff titled Farmers or Hunter-Gatherers?— as well as conservative pundits who questioned Pascoe’s Aboriginal identity. |

Title: Re: Revelations From the Book Of Pascoe Post by Boris on Jan 18th, 2025 at 6:31am
Australian Aborigines were Palaeolithic.
The Paleolithic era, also known as the Old Stone Age, was a period in human history that began around 3.3 million years ago and ended around 11,650 years ago. It was characterized by the development of stone tools, as well as the creation of art, and the hunting and gathering lifestyle of early humans. As they never - or hardly ever - had Flint, their stone tools and weapons were extremely primitive as there is very little or hardly any Flint on this entire Continent. Most of their tools were wood and no stone as they never had rocks that were any good for tools. Paleolithic people lived in small groups and hunted, fished, and gathered plants to survive. They adapted their diets to the local resources available, and the proportions of plant and animal foods in their diets varied by region. The Stone Age is usually divided into three periods: Lower Paleolithic, Middle Paleolithic, and Upper Paleolithic. Dark Emu puts forward the false notion that the Aborigines were Neolithic. Characteristics Settled lifestyle: People began to live in permanent villages. Domestication: People began to domesticate animals and cultivate plants for food. Stone tools: People used more sophisticated stone tools for farming and herding. Crafts: People began to make pottery and weave. Significance The Neolithic period was marked by the Neolithic Revolution, which was a transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture and settlement. This transition allowed for larger populations. So Dark Emu is absolute Bullshit. |

Every part of Pascoe's ideology/cult was disproven long before it ever saw the light...
His is a book of fiction .. not fact... nobody needs to put up any learned books to contradict it - all the history already does that. Governments latched on to it as another means of driving a stake into the heart of Australia, by dividing and dividing until there's nothing left.... only a moron drills holes in his own lifeboat..... so these assholes must have a few extra lifeboats set aside for their exclusive use, no? Think on that - the list is long... starting with the 'future fund' - a thing of the past once the Grappler government takes office... One People = One Future Fund!! All under the same umbrella - no more special privilege!! Now then - where's that 30% pay rise for pensioners etc to keep up with costs of living? Oh - of course! All those 'Boomer' pensioners own all the properties, none of them are forced to have a mortgage on their one home etc .... and the unemployed scum of today can live in Tent Cities until the local councils throw them out... send in the Troopers one two three... Time for that revolution, I think..... |
