I just watched this being reported, on the ABC America World News, on their weather report
[being broadcast in Australia, on SBS1]....

Texas, is seeing the coldest temp's in one hundred [100] years.


"And across the nation" [in the U.S.],
73% of the nation is covered by snow.

This has never before been seen, in the U.S.



Lets just say it again,

Texas mayor spent 38 hours without heat or water
Texas has suffered the brunt of the storm, and many there are suffering the freezing temperatures with no power to heat their homes.
Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price told CNN Tuesday night that she was been without power or water for around 38 hours.
"It got down to a record low last night, two degrees below," Price said. "So, it is really cold, and this is Texas, North Texas. We don't get this kind of weather. People don't always have the clothing for it, and certainly don't drive in it very well."

Texas is not known for it's super-smart people just as America isn't.  Texas' problem arrive every few years and people freeze.  You'd think they'd learn and start to harden their electrical system and homes to counter cold conditions because every years, the cold will come.  Snow will come.  Instead they just clean up from the latest episode and repair things and when the next episode occurs throw their hands up again.

You do understand how climate works don't you?  You do understand that in winter time one hemisphere or the other is experiencing low temperatures and snow?  You do understand how physics works, don't you?  How when one region is cold another region is warm or even hot?  You don understand how temperatures move around the planet as the planet moves around the sun, don't you?  Bobby, stop being an alarmist and start reading what is being said, not about weather events but about long term trends of climate.  Please.  ::) ::)

We can't.
All we can do is provide evidence.

It's not Global Warming, it's not an Ice Age.

It is Extreme & Erratic: getting hotter, getting colder, getting dryer, getting wetter, getting windier, getting more 'shaky' underground with quakes, Volcanos, etc - all in packages.

If it is, good.  It will cure the global warming that it is undergoing right now.  Texas is not the whole world.  Nor is Greece.  They are in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is Winter Time.   We are in the southern hemisphere where it is summer.  The two occur every year.  Every few years the Northern Hemisphere suffers a cold snap.  QED.   ::)

Last Winter, I went to bed with 10 tea light candles burning on my desk 5 metres away from where I was sleeping. They had been burning since the hour after sundown. The warmth that they provided kept me from shivering in the early morning (even with them gone out).

I am not saying that it would be enough to keep warm with candles and fireplaces. But, if you can keep the room at above 15 degrees, you are doing well.

Weather watching scientists in north America are predicting Americans will witness a new polar vortex bring even colder temps to the U.S.'s southern states.

Scientists say the new polar vortex is predicted to arrive,    ....The Day After Tomorrow.

Fifteen HARD lessons I learned from the “Texageddon” blackouts and collapse of critical infrastructure.

The “Texageddon” blackouts and near-collapse of all infrastructure (food, fuel, cell towers, power grid, water systems, emergency services, roads, etc.) taught us all some very difficult lessons in survival. We learned that the infrastructure is far more vulnerable than most people thought, and we saw with our own eyes that most people still refuse to prepare with extra food and water, even after a year of covid lockdowns that should have been a universal wake up call.

"ERCOT is a membership-based 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation,[12][13] and its members include consumers, electric cooperatives, generators, power marketers, retail electric providers, investor-owned electric utilities (transmission and distribution providers), and municipally owned electric utilities.[14]"

So ERCOT is not an electricity provider. They do however operate the grid.

So I think they are after the wrong people.

Energy providers in Texas do not have to stockpile supplies for an emergency. And the Fed's limited the price that providers could sell for.

"with respect to any Specified Resource that is an ERCOT Generation Resource or Settlement Only Generator whose operator notifies ERCOT that the unit is unable, or expected to be unable, to produce at its maximum output due to an emission or effluent limit in any federal environmental permit, ERCOT shall ensure that such Specified Resourceis only allowed to exceed any such limit during a period for which ERCOT has declared an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) Level 2 or Level 3.  This incremental amount of restricted capacity would be offered at a price no lower than $1,500/MWh.  Once ERCOT declares that such an EEA Level 2 or Level 3 event has ended, the unit is required to immediately return to operation within its permitted limits; "
