So yes, Bias, here's hoping Sleepy Joe is able to turn this around. I'm sure you'll agree: what goes on in the White House influences the rest of the country. Funding anti-bullying campaigns in schools while the president models bullying is a waste of resources.  Running a campaign to stop online bullying while your husband uses social media to promote hate speech is rather counter-productive.

Putin's Russia is the exact opposite of "noble capitalism". It's politically closer to Myanmar than the West. It's also a major threat to its neighbours and the rest of the world, who it targets in political and cyber-warfare operations. Hitler might be too far back, but we witnessed the downfall of Trump just a few weeks ago. You know that this is how it ends.

The most successful, or enduring, fascist leader was arguably Franco, and look how he left the Spanish economy.

Marcos in the Philippines, Ceaușescu in Romania, the results are clear. Putin has built himself the most expensive private dwelling in the world. He's said to have stashed close to a trillion in skimmed national wealth. Forget politics, it's an economic disaster. Read up on what the "noble capitalists" in the accounting or hedge funds have to say about the lack of competition in monopolized, oligarchical economies like Russia.

Again, I'm curious. How do you convince yourself to ignore the corrupt, self-serving and ultimately destructive results of the totalitarian leaders you uphold? 

Given I live in the echo-chamber of Western democracy, I'm keen to hear what you think.
