It prevents me, every day, from ever becoming Head of State.

It's a bit like the Blue Whale ... I may never see one in real life, but it gives me comfort knowing that they are there.

You can never predict that the character and/or morality of those destined by birth to become your nation's leaders are (or will be) worthy of the role.

This whole farce was an easy prediction years ago.

Check clips and interviews back before Harry met Meghan... Despite his training and upbringing he was self-conscious and insecure.... Just like his mother.

The signs were there that the enormous responsibilities of being an HRH were going to overwhelm his precarious sense of self.

Combine that with his ever decreasing importance within the royal hierarchy as William had one kid after another (heirs and spares) ... The royal family is regimented like the military, with William and his baby children outranking Harry. He was fast becoming irrelevant to the monarchy as his uncle, Edward, has been for years... William got all the royal attention (after his grandmother and father) with precious little interest in what Harry wanted (if he even knew).

Not a good outcome for a person with an almost inexplicable inferiority complex... No doubt he needed a strong woman in his life to balance this and to instruct him... Enter an American... Just like his great-great uncle David (Edward VIII), he fell for the idea of a 'free' spirit with a strong personality to guide him out of royal life and into a Shangri-La of parties and low responsibility.

Of course, Wallis Simpson, herself, was mortified that, in the end, she couldn't escape Edward without being treated like filth on both sides of the Atlantic and laid down in the bed of nails she'd made for herself. She only ever thought their affair would just be a scandalous fling that would end with his ascension to the throne.

But Megan is no Wallis and this is not 1937 (while Harry is an Edward/David) and when she's done with him and his bone-deep insecurity, she'll be moving on... No laying down for the rest of her life on a bed of nails for her.

I disagree actually.  He may have lived well, in comparison to us peasants, however, all this were just fascades for the public consumpton.   Life is not good for Prince Harry.  He always lived under the shadows of his brother Prince Williams, brought up to be the 'back up'.   The royal family also did not do anything to tone down, and protect him from the rumours about his birthright.  I think it is great he married someone he loves, and stand behind her.

You will see in footage and photos of the SAS in Europe 1944-45, a mix of Red Berets and Sand.... perhaps you've wondered why that was the case.... well - 'new chums' had to wear the Red.... sticks out like dog's gonads in a green forested area..... but there you go....

thanks grap.. you know I met a real live HERO last week....my art teacher has painted him for the Archibalds this year he is painted holding a green beret which he wore in an American Platoon he was sectioned too  although hes aussie.....he was in Irac and Afghanistan..and now walks with walking aids..elbow crutches  has the biggest smile I am so hoping her portrait will get chosen so you can see him for yourself  its an amazing painting...

If that’s not complaining against his life in the royal stronghold...then I don’t know what is.
It was almost like he was trying to escape.
First attempt not so successful...second time luckier.

maybe you have forgotten lols  these boys LOST THEIR MOTHER IN A CRUEL ACCIDENT.....

at very very young ages.....they were devastated especially Harry....my daughter lost her dad just before she turned 16  I still dont think she has come to terms with it....it had an awful affect on her.... Harry was trying to be one of the boys   as boys do.....William was different he understood where he was in the protocol......

I believe those boys are still grieving and living in fear of anyone close to them dying.....

really with the protection she had  it  would have been the best in the world......they chose to leave they wanted their cake and eat it......live abroad do their own thing come back and play pretend royals on their terms...and the Queen said NO it doesnt work like that you are either in or your not...

Everyone was very positive about Meghan at the beginning.  The alarm bells probably went off when nobody from her family attended the wedding except her mother.
And now Hazza is similarly estranged from his own family.
