Victoria’s Opposition Leader Michael O’Brien says Premier Daniel Andrews is “the root of the problem” and “responsible for the disgraceful abuse of power” which saw MP Adem Somyurek sacked after a series of damaging recordings were revealed.

Mr Andrews sacked Mr Somyurek with plans to remove him from the party after 60 Minutes published a series of explosive secret recordings which have plunged Labor into damage control.

“Daniel Andrews has been the leader of Labor for the last 10 years,” Mr O’Brien said.

“He’s set the standards and he’s created the culture.

“He plays hard politics and he shouldn’t be surprised when those around him do exactly the same thing.

“Daniel Andrews is responsible for this disgraceful abuse of power we have seen.”

Expecting Andrews to resign is still a nothing burger. Not only was Andrews being undermined he was himself a potential target.

There is simply no case against Andrews and he has taken swift decisive action against those involved.

This would be the initiative fully supported by Federal Government and personally endorsed by Morrison?    I agree with it.    If it keeps employment up, gets the transport system moving, then what is wrong with it.

Personally, I think most politicians are just like pond scum floating around looking for any opportunity. However, Andrews has done a good job down here and is showing leadership far and beyond what most are.  Personally I also hope he goes for federal labor and kicks some of the deadwood out of that .

We are calling on the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau, to exercise her powers and dissolve the Parliament of Victoria and call a State Election.

The reason for this is Victorian Labor Government in undemocratic. The directions relevant to COVID 19 that it has implemented are unconstitutional and do not satisfy the requirements of representative government. None of the directions were passed through the houses of Parliament.

The Victorian government is now acting beyond power and everything that it does is unlawful.

If the Governor of Victoria believes in her role then she should act now and dissolve Parliament.

If it's valid to call for Andrews to resign, the following people MUST also resign for breaches of hotel quarantine and the aftermath:

* Colbeck (his incompetence with aged care has killed over 700 people)
* Morrison (Quarantine is a federal responsibility under Section 51 of the Constitution and the Biosecurity Act, not having any plans to bring home 25,000 Australians even after six months, fleeing the country twice during a crisis, other failures)
* Dutton (did not keep COVID-19 out of the country)
* Littleproud (Minister responsible for granting pratique to Ruby Princess)
* Berejiklian (Hotel quarantine breaches including infections spreading to security guards hired by NSW government, Ruby Princess)
* Palaszczuk (Hotel quarantine breaches)
