Wasn't feeling well.

Had a runny nose and a few aches and pains.

So, thought I'd do the right thing and get tested.

They do the test, rather uncomfortable I might add.

Swab half way down the throat, same swab up the nose, RIGHT UP the nose, I'm sure they were checking my lungs with the thing.

The medical staff were both professional and friendly, no complaints there.

But then they hit you with it.

SELF ISOLATE FOR UP TO 6 DAYS UNTIL YOU GET THE RESULTS BACK

WHAT THA.........?        6 DAYS.......?

You would think, in this day and age,
That they woukd be capable of having a result faster than 6 DAMN DAYS.

I guess for us plebbs, 6 days is OK.

But politicians and sports people get 1/2 hour testing.

WHAT A TOTAL JOKE.

Australian medical facilities.......third world.

That's right, Matty. We VIPs in Western Sydney only have to isolate for two. You stay home, dear.

WE DON'T WANT THEM HERE.

I personally know two people here in WA who have had that test, and they both got their results back in 48 hours.

Pretty rough where I'm from. We get instant results - on the spot. Gotta go back to work, no 'sickie' days orff Bro.

It's UP TO six days.

Once you get your results back (and it's negative), you can come out of isolation.

Most people get the results back in two days, so it's no big deal.

You'll probably get the results in less than 24 hours.

Well that delay and order to self isolate until results come in, for up to 6 days, will not encourage many to do it then! I heard that probe like stick up the nose hurts!
There’s another put off!

They'll all rush to be tested if there was rectal probes involved.

She is predisposed to pneumonia, so if there was the slightest chance of giving it to her, it was too much for me.

But, while it took only 32 hours, that could be 32 hours too long for some people.

Surely there is a faster test available.
Or is that only for politicians and footballers?

I think I would prefer it to be thorough rather than fast   

I have all sorts of blood tests  through the year  and all take 2 to 3 days .. if needed urgently  they will get urgent treatment......I think we do ok to be honest....

Ignore an order to isolate and you can be fined $1000
