Mexico’s low, barely budging count of confirmed coronavirus cases is raising concern about the adequacy of testing in the country and whether the government is doing enough to prepare for an epidemic.

I’m worried about the lack of diagnostic testing,” said Francisco Moreno, infectious disease specialist and head of Internal Medicine at ABC Hospital in Mexico City. “If Mexico has undetected cases circulating, the spread of the disease is going to be brutal.”

Mexico has largely decided against implementing containment efforts. Airports aren’t widely screening travelers from countries with high numbers of cases and no big government events have been canceled.

One project by The Atlantic estimates that about 14,000 people have been tested in the US so far. Meanwhile, US lawmakers said on Thursday that fewer than 10,000 people had been tested.

By far the most likely way of Coronavirus getting into mexico would be across the weak as P1ss border with the USA. There is nothing to keep the disease ridden Yanks on their side.

Yes I know they have some good people, I met both of them.

Its best this wall goes up as soon as possible and automatically sanitized, the Mexicans live with their animals as do the Chinaman, the next virus could come from Mexico.

The last time I was in Mexico road kill was as popular as roast of the day.

People are flying into Mexico from all over the world. Plenty of migrants trying to bust into the states are from the middle east and Africa via South America . The US/ Mexico border isn't the only way the corona virus can get into Mexico.

There could be a few reasons for this. Mexico has a poor health care system and loads of people probably haven't been diagnosed. Another is Mexico's hot climate. Flus don't like warm weather.  All the 3rd world countries around the world will be hit the hardest. Especially Africa. Poor health care systems and dirty overcrowded conditions. It's a very sad state of affairs.
