Title: is Qld becoming the new SA?
Post by cods on Feb 22nd, 2020 at 10:16am
https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/photo-of-teacher-anthony-stott-bound-to-a-chair-as-family-of-accused-slam-cops/news-story/e0bc6bc90988eca870c3d62a5077376f

THIS is the shocking final image of Brisbane private school teacher Anthony Stott.

Tied to a chair with rope, with hands bound behind his back, he looks stunned.

Hours later the 43-year-old would be dead.[/url]

Almost two weeks after the popular French teacher was hit by a semi-trailer on the M1 at Cudgera Creek, south of Tweed Heads, in NSW, The Courier-Mail can today reveal the haunting photograph, after it was tendered in court.
It was allegedly sent to several people by those accused of holding him hostage in an attempt to identify the man before his death.

It comes as a relative of one of three people charged with the detaining the St Peters Lutheran College teacher — Lauren Grainger — has hit out at police, saying they’re on a “witch-hunt” to find someone to blame for a tragic accident.

Police have alleged Mr Stott was held captive by Cudgera Creek a couple – Mark Frost, 46 and Grainger, 38 – who have both been charged with detaining the schoolteacher with intent to obtain an advantage.
The award-winning market farmers are accused of tying Mr Stott to a chair and holding him captive during a six-hour ordeal at their northern NSW property.

Court documents claim he either escaped from his captors or was released before running on to the M1 and into the path of the semi on February 10.

Mr Stott had just returned from a trip to Peru the previous day and his silver BMW had been found abandoned in the middle of the M1 nearby at 2am – but it wasn’t until he was killed that police discovered why he had abandoned his car.

In another bizarre twist to the case, The Courier-Mai l understands another witness has come forward to NSW detectives and revealed she saw Mr Stott walk away from the property unharmed.

“The whole thing is a witch-hunt, the police just want someone to blame because a man walked out onto the M1 and was killed,” a family source close to Grainger said.

“It’s just completely ridiculous … (Lauren is) a good person.

When contacted by The Courier-Mail, defence solicitor for Grainger, Dave Garratt declined to comment only to say his client continued to deny the allegations.

A third person — Craig Arthur Button — was on Friday charged over the alleged incident involving the Springfield schoolteacher.

He was granted bail on strict conditions.

Frost was also denied bail and will reappear on April 6.

creepy!

Melbourne is SA Cape Town because of all the rampaging darkies. Some guy got cut up with an axe in front of a primary school for road rage last week.

South Australia had a gothic reputation long ago

Can't count the number of conversations I've participated in, in which we tried to work out what it is about South Oz

The 'professional' paedophiles and those tortured teenage guys turning up in pieces in plastic bags.  They caught one of them but he refused to name his co-paedophile-murderers and sits in prison still, I think.  The SA police and 'experts' claim they think he'll spill after his mother dies.  She must be in her 90s if she's still alive

then all those young girls who were murdered and dumped in remote killing-fields

tunnels .. some revealed, others not … which run between freemasonic points of interest beneath the city … don't remember the full story

murders from the minute SA was settled, many of them grim

Freemasonry enters every discussion about gothic SA.  Has to be more than a kernel of truth to all the tales

yet it was built by free settlers.  No convicts.  Architecturally designed.  City of Churches

what a horror show and how ghastly it's turned out to be for victims

Land of the grotesque.  Like the guy who is believed to have buried untold numbers of victims in the sand wastes until he was finally brought to justice after his failed attempt to take two backpackers at once

even then, South Australia is very miserly with details.  It has obscure laws.  Nothing escapes South Australia if the authorities there can help it.  Corruption goes hand in hand with South Australia in most people's minds

Top down and everyone obeys or else watch out

Employment is said to rely on which SA school you attended, who you know … regardless of one's qualifications

closed-shop. Reminds me of Mormon Utah

I've explained it to myself as South Oz being haunted land .. as still influenced by some horror from the past

or maybe it's subterranean voids that exert evil upon the land above

fascinating, really

but wouldn't want to spend much time there

Knew a young couple who were returning to South Oz.  They described it (as many South Ozzians do for some reason) as the land of milk, honey and all that's good.  My expression must have tipped them off because they said, 'What?'.  I replied, 'Well, you know .. South Australia.  It's where all those ghastly murders take place ..'.   They looked at each other innocently, before saying, 'I never thought of it like that.  Yes, suppose you're right.  But when you're there, you don't think of it'.  They returned to South Oz and sent an email to say they hadn't been able to take the smiles from their face since the moment they arrived there

So maybe it's like being a bell-ringer.  While you're ringing them, you don't think the bells are loud at all .. until one day when you're five hundred metres from the bells and they make your ears ache

have to confess, I'd love to learn the truth about what lies behind the place known as South Australia

If you were happy in your preferred forum, where they (and you) seem to spend an inordinate amount of time discussing THIS forum and its members … for some reason which baffles

then you wouldn't be here

would you?

and don't blame your lack of comprehension or reluctance to read anything longer than two lines at most

or this forum

You're a sad sack looking for approval

Just don't stop in Truro or Snowtown on your next wine tasting tour in SA, its best to keep within the confines of the city of Churches down by the banks of the Torrens.

The victims of the Bodies in the Barrel murders were all from Adelaide, not Snowtown.  Snowtown is actually a nice, peaceful country town.  It once had a branch to a bank in the mainstreet.  It was abandoned over a year before the murderers broke in and put the bodies of their victims in barrels containing acid.  I have drive through Snowtown many times, when I was in the Army.  It is on the main route between Adelaide and El Alamein Army exercise area.    ::) ::)

Probably a better read than any of Hunter S. Thompson's works. Will he call it the Autism Diaries?

WHERE state and council borders are concerned, even minor public works can become quite complicated.

For example, take mowing the grass on public land. On the border the Gold Coast City Council mows the grass from the border monument near Twin Towns east to the Rainbow Bay shops.

Then each council mows its own side of the border on Boundary St up to Pt Danger.

The border runs through tweed so tweed is partly in NSW, partly in Qld. Anything south of tweed, or in tweed south, is definitely NSW. There is no confusion on that.

I don't know why he would go to the El Alamein army camp in SA past Snowtown if he was based in WA, that's 2,000miles away, originally I picked up that he was from Glenelg SA, I think he tells fibs/ ferfy's at times.

Appears I was right.  You don't know, do you?  Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  Such a silly sausage.  A "furphy" is a rumour.  The name comes from the water carts used in WWI by the AIF.  Manufactured by Furphy and Sons, with their name prominently displayed, the troops would arrive at the water point and swap gossip and rumours.  They became known as "Furphies" as a consequence.  ::) ::)

Pick an Australian State.  They've all had horrific violent crimes

I've been waiting for information about the Alva Beach case so just had another look.  Still not resolved.  You might remember reading about it a couple of years ago: girl and her boyfriend went to some footy do in Alva Beach, a small place most people haven't heard of and neither had I until it hit the headlines.  The couple was hooning around the beach with a couple of other guys when the girl had a fall, reportedly, from a quad bike.  It all went screwy from there, ending up with the girl running to a random house for help.  Inside the house was a young guy -- lae teens, early 20s -- who was minding his own business either asleep on the couch or watching tv

In burst the girl, for some reason seeming very afraid.  The young guy phoned the police some distance away.  By this time, a group of guys had tried to get into the house.  Police told the young guy they didn't have anyone to send to assist.  Then a group of guys returned and began breaking into the house.  The line to the police remained open for 50 minutes, thereby providing a record of what transpired next

The group of guys broke down the door of the young guy's  house, never been explained why.  Young guy switched off the lights and he and the girl were hiding on the floor.  The intruders broke into the house and the young guy ended up fighting for his life.  In the melee, two of the intruders were fatally stabbed. One was a local married man and father

The young guy had a promising career, clean, no record.  His life and that of the girl have been badly impacted by the incident

The wife of the local deceased man became a widow, her children fatherless.  The other deceased was the girl's long-distance boyfriend.  A third man hasn't been identified far as I know.  All told, seven males attempted to get into the house

there has been no explanation to date
LINK

Another weird one took place near Gympie several years ago.  People driving by saw a woman on the side of the road near a brightly coloured vehicle.  Close by a patch of grass was burning.  Authorities were informed and a headless, armless torso was found smouldering in the burnt grass.  This launched the Torso Murder case

The victim was eventually learned to be an older male, George Gerbic.  The woman involved was Lindy Williams who later claimed the victim (her de facto spouse) had attacked her with a knife.  She claimed she ran from the home and when she returned, Gerbic's dismembered corpse was lying on the floor.  In order to dispose of it and avoid blame, she'd taken it to a roadside and had attempted to burn it

It took several years before she faced the court and her claims were outlandish

Prior to attempting to burn Gerbic's corpse, Williams had, for ten months, claimed to his family that he was overseas.  During that time, she'd remained in the home she'd shared with Gerbic

She was found guilty of murder and of dismembering Gerbic with an electric saw.  His head and dismembered limbs have never been found.  She was sentenced to 20 years before parole

I think that while searching for Gerbic's missing parts, police discovered another dismembered head in a pine forest

LINK

Twenty years before eligible to apply for parole seems a stiff sentence when compared to Gerard Baden Clay who received about five years less (from memory) for the murder of his wife

for a small country we have a huge list of unsolved crimes.......sadly...

look at the Beaumont children....

not one clue as to what happened to them.
and no one left to mourn for them....
