At the Oscars on Sunday, Natalie Portman displayed her own bit of girl power by wearing a cape embroidered with the names of lady directors she believed deserved a nomination that year over some of the male candidates.

“I wanted to recognize the women who were not recognized for their incredible work this year, in my subtle way,” Portman said on the red carpet.

The establishment in Hollywood have a terrible problem

They want to enjoy all the Beverly hills mansions
Chauffeur driven limousines
Awards Nights with champagne flowing
Travelling at the pointy end of the airplane

So they want to be the beneficiaries of the capitalist system
They want to be the beneficiaries of the patriarchal hierarchy

But they also wish to signal their virtue by being the champions of the poor and oppressed
And the people on struggle Street

Anyone with an iota of common sense realises that this is impossible

You can't be a member of the oppressor class
And also the champion of the oppressed

Complete and utter nonsense

And everyone outside of Hollywood can see it a mile off

The difference is trump just owns who he is
He's bold brash
He likes to flaunt his wealth

You won't catch the Donald wringing his hands and wetting the bed about the poor and the oppressed

Trump recognises the best way to help the poor and the oppressed is to get them a job and then be a good role model that they can aspire 2

Hence the lowest African American and Hispanic unemployment in history
And a president who despite multiple setbacks continues to climb the narrow road to success

That's how you help the poor and the oppressed

Not by mouthing platitudes at an awards ceremony or on the red carpet

But by changing the structure of reality
And being an awesome dominator who shows people that they can crush it in life

If a fat pasty ginger can make it all the way to the oval office
Despite all the people who are against him
That's incredibly inspiring two fat pasty Steve and fat pasty Janine

Indeed
The Donald has stumbled and fallen many many times
And yes he made it all the way to the oval office
That's the sort of story the people love to hear

people don't want to go to the movies and see batman just demolish his opposition
they want to see him struggle and fail and stumble and fall and eventually triumph
That's the hero's journey

The fact that trump has been a failure so many times is what makes him an archetypal story
And we love those

Trump is a modern day hero like Howard Hughes - it's true. Like Trump, Hughes inherited a fortune and held on to his money. And like Trump he went from failure to failure disguised as success because he was a hero with money. And movies have been made about this hero. Luckily he didn't become POTUS.

Dude do you know how many people worldwide inherit a lot of money
It must be in the millions

Most of them because they haven't done the brutal training to climb the narrow road we just use that money to go down hill faster

More gambling more drugs

It's exactly the same effect we see when we raise welfare payments
If you are at the bottom
You probably have a problem with drugs alcohol gambling

give those people more cash and it's not like they go and spend it on a university education

So trump got some cash when he was young
That's actually not a marker for success at all

If he really was lazy he could have just use that cash to slob around the pool
Buy hookers drugs and alcohol

But the guy even at the age of 71
Has voluntarily subjected himself to the brutal brutal brutal environment of Washington an American politics

He has taken the evolutionary blowtorch and applied it to his own ass

That's so rare
That's just extraordinary

No, I don't now how many, dude. Tell me the number. I am curious how many people receive the amounts of money Howard Hughes and his successor Trump did.

Tell us, what brutal training did Hughes and Trump endure on that narrow road?

Is that what you call it? Just some cash? The NYT debunked that Trump lie.

I never said he was lazy. I compared him to Howard Hughes. Hughes was not lazy.

Yes, so rare. Not many people inherit that kind of money.

Q.
Why, why, why,     ....should i or anyone else, care, if some WOKE individuals believe that,
"there aren't enough female directors".

Merit in making stage drama, or in film making,    isn't dependent on the gender of the individuals working in such fields.

That is what i believe.

They also line up to see Othello, Macbeth, Richard the Third - plays where the protagonist is killed by his own vices.

Othello? Jealousy over a white wife, where Othello was the only black man in town.

Macbeth? An ambitious wife who had him pussy-whipped.

Richard III? An unbridled thirst for power driven by his own insecurities and inferiority complex.

The hero's journey comes from the tragedy (read Neitzsche's the Birth of Tragedy), where the protagonist always gets it in the end.

Shakespeare was the master of this genre. His heroes crossed the line into villainhood almost seamlessly. Pick the point where Macbeth falls prey to evil - Lady M's speech? Her death? The scene of the witches right at the start?

Mr Trump is more of a Richard or even an Iago. He announces his vices right from the start. His campaign starts as payback for the tinted races - they're rapists, murderers, they bring in drugs...

Mr Trump is not a hero, dear, he's a villain. But as Shakespeare showed, they can be protagonists (or heroes) too.

Ah, is that where you cum come in K?

I know, I know, droll. :-[

I do find it disappointing when a set of awards supposedly given out on merit is used to say they shouldn't be on merit but affirmative action. I caught a part of a show that had this dribble on it as the wife had the TV on, two guys saying the thing they noticed was "not enough pussy" in the awards. Perhaps the pussy needs to work harder and up their game rather than being handed it because "pussy" and "diversity".

we have to "invent" our own gods now.

frederick would say that this is exactly what the deplorables are doing.
finding their own god , now that the west has abandoned its roots

“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”

Ah yes, but Mr Trump's biggest base? The Bible Belt.

There, God comes alive in Affluence. A house, two cars, three nice kids, a gun for each, and not a Jigaboo in sight.
